DFF means that the match didn't take place. From what I understand, sometimes this is due to one of the wrestlers already having had 5 bouts, other times it seems like it's used when two wrestlers are from the same school - but this is not always the case. But does anyone know what DFF stands for? I Figured somewhere on the interwebs would be an answer, but I've got nothing.

I thought the following result line and the fact that Surtin was at 133 to be the most interesting items in the results for Mizzou.

1st Place Match - Devin Winston (SIU Edwardsville) won by decision over Cordel Duhart (Missouri) (Dec 4-0)

why? Im assuming because Surtin was 125 most of the year. But the match you posted I am not sure about?

Surtin was considered to be small for 125 when he came in according to what I understand so to be at 133 was a surprise.

Devin Winston was a highly sought after recruit from Missouri who coming out of high school was ranked #1 at his weight.

He committed to a high profile Div 1 school then decommitted and signed with Big Ten Minnesota and 1/2 way through redshirt year

entered the transfer portal and ended up at SIU E.

Yep committed to North Carolina first and then ended up at Minny. Is he eligible to wrestle for SIUE this year? Wish he would’ve chosen Mizzou, but it is what it is.

Yeah I was a little suprised by that score. Winston was one of the top ranked kids in his weight class by Flo. Shows how much better Cordell has gotten in that room.

NO not really about Cordell, this was Devin Winstons first tournament of the year (red shirt freshman). he ran out of gas and toyed with him

I didnt see the match. I can understand the running out of gas, I guess. If your not training you wouldnt be in great shape. But what do you mean toyed with him? He toyed with him and didnt score any points? Score was 4-0

"Toying" with a kid at the D1 level seems like an immature strategy. And controlling a match is not winning 4-0. Learn to score from the tie maybe? Or work on some of your weaknesses if you are that much better. You obviously know the kid and I am not here to belittle his wrestling accomplishments. I wish him luck.
