  1. Thanks for the kind words for Trevor. He wrestled his best matches this weekend. We truly appreciate the support that the wrestling community has shown for Trevor. I know that Trevor has shown me that ANYTHING can happen with the right attitude in life. He is now the Marquette high school single-season win record holder with 44. He passed Bobby Conn by one win. On a side note, Congratulations to Zach Meury from FOX on his first state title. I think that he earned his title as did all of the state champions. He is a great kid and a class act! Trevor is looking to wrestle in c

  3. results I do not have the book in front of me but the final was like 51-12 103 Fortner NWforfeit 112 Bunch 12-6 over stahlman 119 Cothern over Spencer mdec 125 hill NW forfeit 130 Krischke NW forfeit 135 Watterkotte NW forfeit 140 H.Krischke dec Dillard 6-1...this was a good match with a score of 1-1 leading into the final seconds. Dillard hit a nice shot and was almost behing and Krischke scrambled out and put him on his back with a Headnarm. Probably the best match of the night. One of the few close matches. 145 Martinez dec morris 152 Porter pin Feldewerth 160
  4. Here is the MSHSAA Criteria. Wrestlers start by comparing records and common opponents. Head-to-head first, then commons. Each opponent and each common thread is worth points to either one wrestler or the other. A wrestler can come back from a head-to-head loss, but it is difficult and he would need a lot of common opponents. Sometimes wrestlers only have one common opponent and that cause a less highly touted wrestler to get seeded above a guy with a better record. If wrestlers are tied after the record review then see the bottom for the remaining criteria. This rarely ever happens.
  5. questions answered I have the answers to all of your questions. All the results are now posted(except the white pool-lowest pool). http://www.marquettewrestling.com Specia thanks to our Marquette Wrestling Booster club and my coaching staff for running a fantastic first class event. The teams, officials, fans, and parents made for an awesome day of competition!

  11. My 171lber will need some surgery to repair his broken leg. 3 screws and a plate will be put in this Thursday. He is sooo bummed out about missing state. We were all tearing up on the mat because he has been such a hard-working kid..stays after practice, etc. If anyone would like to send him a get well message, you can send it to me via the email address above or to Marquette High School, 2351 Clarkson Rd. Chesterfield, MO 63017. He is a smart kid and has a bright future and we are all proud of his accomplishments this year.
  12. I need a picture of Sean Torgoley getting his hand raised after his match with George Young. His face was covered with blood and he was smiling. If you have a picture with him in it from the end of the match please email me at wierjoseph@rockwood.k12.mo.us I will pay if necessary.
  13. Bledsoe had his most takedowns as a JUNIOR...I coached him. He had about 260 or so as a senior. He was trying to turn and pin a bit more. He did not have more than 340...I did the stats  I thought that it was a pretty great feat to have that many. I have never seen a hard copy of TJ Hills, but a few sources have told me that he had above 350.
  14. I know that Curtis Bledsoe had 334 takedowns his junior year. Someone told me that TJ Hill had 356, but I am not sure.
