Past Wrestler of the Week Winners

WEEK I:
Daylen Greene, Holden High School (Boys)
Daylen broke the school record for career takedowns in a dual against Warrensburg on November 30th. Greene broke Andrew Martin’s (3-time state medalist) 2018 record of 263 takedowns. Greene also took 1st place in the 126lb bracket at the Ray Stockdale tournament on Saturday with three wins including a 40-second fall in the finals match.

WEEK II:
Kamden Hooper, Odessa High School (Boys)
Won teched and pinned his way to winning LSN tournament as a freshman

WEEK III:
Kailey Benson, Francis Howell Central (Girls)
She was the KC Stampede 120lbs champion earning the title with 3 pins, 2 tech falls and zero offensive points scored against her

WEEK IV:
Kelsey Watts, Nixa (Girls)
Won Wonder Woman tournament with 3 falls, 1 TF and beat the nationally ranked and number 1 state ranked wrestler at 105 4-3 in the finals.

WEEK V:
Lane Patterson, Kirksville (Boys)

Lane Patterson and the rest of the Kirksville High school wrestling team “Northern Missouri” Went to ottumwa Iowa and competed in the Ottumwa wrestling tourney. Lane pinned all 5 of his oppnets in the first period and was named most dominate wrestler in the tourney on the Iowa Pin Doctor’s forum.

WEEK VI:
Gage Jones, Cameron (Boys)
Gage took first at the Lee Summit North Tournament this year. He got his 100th win at this same tournament as a Junior. Gage also beat the number 3 kid at class 1 this past week at the Cameron Duals.

WEEK VII:
Candace Calvert, Hallsville (Girls)
Started at Hickman and wrestled a tough bracket including defeating Illinois medalist Olivia Coll earning 2nd place. The next day, travelled to Knob Noster and defeated #6 in Class 2 Bailee Cash by pin and #3 in Class 1 Camryn Wingate by Major Decision for 1st place.

WEEK VIII:
Ryzen Isringhausen, Branson (Boys)

Ryzen won the Central Ozark Conference Championship as a Freshman beating a class 4 ranked Junior in overtime. His record is now 37-1.
