This is an index that gives a value for the
Qualifiers, Medallist, and Champions that |

each tourney has it . A Returning State Champ
is worth 4 pts, a #2 or #3 finisher |
|
|
|
is worth 3 pts., a #4, #5, or #6 place finisher
is worth 2 pts., and a qualifier is worth |
|
|
1 pt. |

Zeitz Intensity: |
Is a factor of EQMC divided by the # of participating
schools. This is important as |
|
|
a
fan. Some tourneys have lots of schools involved with very few top
wrestlers. |
|
|
|
This
may provide an opportunity to see a few good wrestlers but without
much |
|
|
|
of an opportunity to see many head to head competitions
of high caliber wrestlers. |
|
|
I high Zeitz factor means there should be many
top wrestlers in head to head action. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
Note: |
These
rankings are subject to changes. Some tourneys are being changed all
the |
|
|
way
up to the tourney date. Also note that some of the tourneys are difficult
to |
|
|
|
evaluate due to the unique formats used. The
Park Hill Tourney is an example. |
|
|
|
Park
Hill will have a 16 team tourney with four pools of four teams each.
The 8 best |
|
|
teams will be on one side of a two pool bracket
in a dual format tourney. So while |
|
|
the
tourney is rated on all 16 of its participants, the 8 teams in one
bracket will |
|
|
|
produce
a much different intensity level than the lesser bracket. |
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
| |
Formats |
Most
of these tourneys are bracketed with a clear individual winner at
each weight. |
|
|
The
Dual tourney is one in which an individual winner is not as certain.
Some Dual |
|
|
Tourneys
are Dual + because they will match individual performers in a championship. |
