Allen Stokes Truman State

As his career nears the end the family can't help help but say thanks to Allen for all the wrestling memories the last 9 yrs. Not a bad career for a kid who never wrestled until 9th grade and went out on a bet with his high school buddies. Finished 2nd at State senior year. No one in the family ever wrestled and everything Allen accomplished was on his own with some great coaches. Thanks to Coach George at Hickman Mills High School and thanks to coach Shutter at Truman you guys truly made a difference in Allen's life. Truman is truly a class program and the coach is the best. Also, the wrestlers and parents at Truman have been great especially Merrick Meyer's father who kept us entertained at the long tournaments and Gregg Nurrenbern's parents. Allen has overcome severe injuries, never made excuses, worked his ass off to get better and we couldn't be more proud. -- See you at Regionals and good luck!!

I didn't realize Allen started wrestling in the 9th grade. That is really amazing. Your family has every reason to be very proud of Allen. Hopefully the success that Allen has had at Truman will help the program to continue to take positive steps. Congrats to you and Allen
