Zak Cummings signs with Strikeforce

MMA Junkie is reporting that Zak (10-0, Springfield Fight Club) has agreed to a multi year, multi fight deal with Strikeforce. Debut is supposed to be in Sept in California.

Zak defeated UFC veteran Terry Martin by split decision in February.

Congrats Zak for signing with Suckfarce! I mean Strikeforce! Joking, I like Strikeforce... but they are no UFC. Not even close. Hopefully once your contract is up we will see you in the big show.

Seriously, with the UFC filling their stable with so many fighters; the ones that they have cannot get fights often enough, let alone sign a lot of new deserving fighters. Zak and Tyron and others are doing what they need to do to get noticed by UFC.

Personally, I would like to see Strikforce grow into a viable competitor of the UFC. I think it would help the sport grow and give many more deserving fighters their opportunity to shine.
