I take it that you mean, District 4 - not Class 4... otherwise I'm sure there would be much debate over your list.

Is Stueve of Lee Summit at 145, back after his injury on the 25th

i also hope you mean district four because if you are talkin about state you have to include Warner, Weist, Wolfrom, Gags, and Bolin in the chase for the state title at there wieght class. If not more kids from good ol' west

Second place at 103 is a toss up. 2,3 and 4 have exchanged wins or had very close 1 point matches. Toon and Denson could go either way. I think Marty will pull it out, he has to stay away from the cradle. At 119, there is no way you can say with any certainty. Caswell and Biggerstaff have exchanged wins. So have Caswell and Watson. Green only wrestled Caswell in a very close one. At 125, there are others that need to be considered. If LaBarge is there, he and Neske is a toss up. Second at 140 will be a close match, I will go with Homan. Thielen second at 152, he beat him once. Depends on the Mat that shows up for Neely. Let's pick it up Mr. Koeling. Haynes and Bowman? I won't even go there. Should be fun. Nick Bowman really fell off here recently but could come back. Oldham has been improving a lot. Kono will take second. Barnett and Ott is too close to call, I would say Ott has the advantage. Madison and Bradley depends on choice. Bruner has a win over Palmgren. Some that come to mind I would consider are Robker, Mallison, Sharkey, Hemme, Case, Wilson, Locke and Pister. I say 3 or 4 of these boys get in. Good job.

Hey Bob, I'm not trying to make fun of you, but picking Uehlin over people that beat him seems to be a consistant trend for you. I'm not saying that it won't happen, but what's the deal? I pick Rico Williams and you throw statistics at me on who he lost to. When it comes to Uehlin, you turn your back on your own preachings. He isn't a long lost son is he?

Why does Ott have an advantage over Barnett?? Ott beat him 4-2 and Barnett beat Ott 4-1 so i think they are close but i think Ott is too stiff and rigid.

I'm just saying that even though Marty was pinned by Vito you picked Marty in a rematch. Marty was also pinned twice by Denson yet once again you are picking Marty in a rematch. That's the trend I am talking about.
But when I picked Rico as the odd man out to win it, you started quoting me common matches. Just wondering why it is okay to do it for Uehlin but not for Rico.

And I'll be happy to do the contest. If I win I won't pat myself on my back, it'll just be for fun! :-D

Mr. Louden,
Show me the "consistant trend" for starters. I saw the two matches. In the first one Uehlin came out and scored 6 quick points before Denson came back and eventually caught and pinned him. In the second, Marty gave up a cradle and got pinned very early. If you do some research and look at common opponents you might understand my position. You can't take one or two matches and say anything with certainty. The fact is that these kids avenge losses all the time. Will you be picking the boys that beat Vito over him? Will you pick the boys that beat Reid over him? How did the re-matches with Forrest and Bradley turn out? What about Haynes and Bowman? How did the O'Donell/Bolin match go the second time last year? Did Travis Drake not lose to Sutton after defeating him twice last year? What about Wolfrum beating Haynes last year after losing at Winnetonka? THere are dozens of examples last year and even more this year. It really doesn't matter what I think Louden, they will decide. Once again I have to remind you that you preach say what you think and that is all I am doing. You are trying to make fun of me but you keep making a fool of yourself.

On the issue of Rico I also look at last year and the matches someone very close to me had with several of the current 160 pounders. If that individual didn't wrestle them, his daily wrestling partner wrestled them. Once again, just my opinion.

When Jonathan gets the contest put together, you select yours and I will do the same. Just like I pick my favorite wrestlers, I pick me over you in that contest by Tech. :D

No, Dusty is done in High School, he never got released by the doctor.

It doesn't, however, I just think it would suck to have to cut weight (assuming he had to cut) in order to take a forfeit with absolutely no chance of being able to wrestle. It's just a bit funny.

I see, because I pick Marty over Your boy and now Denson after he lost to both, you call me out.

Who do you pick in these grudge matches?
Wattercotte vs Davis
Krischke vs Irving
Ingargiola vs Banderet
Chandler vs Harris
Wattercotte vs Schumaker
Uzzetta vs Theilen
Porter vs Merredith

The NW boys lost to these opponents in every case. You will pick NW in most if not all. How is that different than me picking Marty? You just like to comment every time I post a favorite. Not sure what your issue is.

I don't have an issue at all, you shouldn't be so defensive. I am just asking questions. My motivation behind the question isn't sinister, and the only reason I ask is because of how you undermined my pick of Rico by talking about common and head to head match-ups thus far. In that thread the point was to pick who you thought would win State, and I said I was taking the long shot and going with Rico, but then you countered it with points. Then on this thread and the one before it, you are doing the exact same thing I did, and I found it humorous that you are ignoring head to head/common match ups with your pick. By all means you have every right to pick your favorite, and I think it is cool that you are so supportive-That's all.

I said it to start off with, I am not saying this to dis on you, I simply found it humorous that you cut in on me for doing something that you yourself are doing.

why would i predict state with 4 medalists? trust me im not that stupid i just wasnt thinking when i wrote the topic. if you look at the teams and some of the wrestlers you notice there not exactly top notch. oh and who else do you have in mind from "good ol' west" to challenge for the titles in there weight class?

Good job.

at 103 do you know the scores of the 2,3,4 guys matches with each other? at 119 i am totally with you, this may be the toughest 1-4 in district 4 but from watching Green over the years i kind of see him as a spot-light wrestler when it comes down to big tournaments, i also like what i have seen from Caswell when it comes down to district/state time but Biggerstaff seems to lose his edge come that time. who are your other contenders at 125? 140 will be good between Homan and Brennan i actually put Homan down first then went back to Brennan. 152 i also could see Thielan beating Rodick again they both have had good matches with Hall. i think if Koelling brings his a-game like when he first wrestled Neely at tonka he will win but lately Neely has been looking very good. at 215 Barnett has really came on strong lately and i see him as a possible state champ so i would say advantage Barnett. could you post your predictions in all i would like to see what you have in mind?

All I have to say about 119 in this District is don't bet against Joe Green. He normally comes up big in big tournaments.

Cutbirth, Senior night, forfeit! Yes the doctor will let you walk out and get your arm raised. Lee's Summit and OP discussed it prior to the dual. Trust me, Dusty is not wrestling.

I'm glad that Lee's Summit was willing to do this. It is sad that his high school career is over, I think many people would have been routing for him. I hope he finds somewhere to wrestle in college.

Coach Graham runs a class act at Lees Summit. He took Dusty and Kolton Kono to the Oklahoma state team camp last year. I cant say enough about how much it meant to Dusty and his family to be able wear an Oakpark singlet on seinor night. Great Job to all involved !!
