I'm curious on 145 rankings:
What caused undefeated Jacob Guernsey of Joplin (37-0) to drop in the rankings after winning the BSS Tournament?
At the BSS he gained victories over:
Charlie Morris - Hazelwood Central (HM - Class 4) 11-5
Kyle Ream -Holt (Ranked 2nd - Class 3) 16-6
Dakota Fowler -Platte County (Ranked 3rd - Class 2) ?
Taylor Sibalal - Blue Valley NW (Ranked 4th @140 - KS 6A) 8-4
What were the scores of some of those matches? That info may help with the rankings.

Jacob looked like a man at BSS.

SWMO,
Appreciate the input, scores would be nice but it probably wouldn't change anything. It wasn't what Jacob did or didn't do that moved him from 5 to 6. Tulley moved up based on his performance at FHN, avenging a loss to Isringhausen and taking the number 2 class 4 wrestler into overtime. As well, his prior results factored into the change. Jacob will see some good matches at districts. We will be posting one final ranking after districts, good luck to him and all the rest. One of the five ranked 145 pounders will not make it out. Not to mention two really good honable mentions. That's too bad because they would all do well against the rest of the state.

interesting....
HWT:
7 Dom Bradley (Blue Springs, Mo.) Jr.
8 Cody Beck (Lexington, Mo.) Jr.
9 Tyler Perry (Hannibal, Mo.) Sr.
10 Jake Mallonee (Platte County, Mo.) Sr
also interesting that the Amateur Wrestling News has Donte Butler ranked 5th and Intermat doesn't have him ranked at all.

vilda 7? hes good and has an impressive history but i think there are wat more then 6 people better then him. he uses his strength as about 80% of his match and 20% technique. theres probally many stronger and better then him.

Hasn't Crosset beaten both Bradley and Perry?

Why isn't Donte Butler or Craig Wilson ranked? Both were national runner ups( Junior, Cadet).

Hasn't Crosset beaten both Bradley and Perry?
Yes. He has beat the #1 ranked wrestler in Class 3 and 4. He has split with Bradley (3-5 & 7-4) and beat Perry in there only matchup in OT
LowSingle101 Wilson and Butler are both ranked in Class 3.

I think Perry/Crossett are 1-1, if I recall, Perry beat him at Thrasher last year. One match-up this year is all, that I could find.

Perry did beat Crossett last year, but that doesn't mean anything this year.

I think overall rankings it might, but you are right, actually, nothing matters at all except for what happens in the next 2 weeks.

will rankings be updated before districts this weekend?
The ranker took the week off since it was a slow period and there weren't many significant changes. There would in fact have been a few changes so those results and the district results will be used to complete one final ranking prior to state. We will likely eliminate the Honorable mention and we haven't discussed if we will rank 6 or 8. Save the old ones if you want them for a momento. I will be posting an accuracy analysis summary after state. Imagine that!
Good luck to all of the wrestlers, coaches, fans and family this weekend.
