Congrats to Lafayette for a great dual meet win. This one was a close dual with two very evenly matched teams. What a crowd!! Standing room only with air horns and cowbells!!

103 Spencer pin Hagy --Ashley hudson did not make weight...I wonder
if she has enough weigh-ins?
112 Bunch dec Margarita 6-3
119 Diggs pinned Fuchs - this one hurt,Fuch was winning and was
turned and pinned
125 Olejinik dec Dillard 6-5 Close match both boys faught hard.
Dillard had an early cradle and could not get
the fall
130 Harris pinned Torgoley -This one broke the Mustangs backs.
Torgoley was up 7-1 and got thrown and
pinned. He had Harris down for 45 sec and
did not get the fall.
135 Boggs MDEC JV KLAMEN
140 Chida MDEC Martinez -Chida controlled this match with two
peterson rolls for 5 pts.
145 Tulley forfeit -this was a surprise move by the Lancers
152 Baki pinned Koepke -dominated him
160 Haddad TFall Alexander - ditto
171 Moore pinned Eisenmayer - Moore looked outstanding and clearly
rattled Eisenmayer early
189 Brewer forfeit - Gioia out with injury--
215 Bell dec Margason 5-2 - Bell is one of the most physical looking kids I've seen, but he wants to Box instead of wrestle. Margason was down 3-2 and almost got the takedown at the end but was taken down himself.
275-short match Marsh pinned Manche
final 44-26....started at 103

Jv Marquette won 58-18

Freshman Marquette won 42-28

I'm sure she does.

189 Brewer forfeit - Gioia out with injury--chants
of "Steroids"filled the air when Brewer
stepped on the mat

 That wasn't very nice...

Laf vs Marq. now here is the truth.... about the matches.

119 the score was 3-3 when diggs took down Fuch and ran a half and pinned him.. This was at the beggining of the second periond so where was this lead and for Fuch. and when with plenty of time left this was no lucky save the match pin as mustange lives wants u to believe.

125 score was 10-8

130 interesting Harris wrestles a bit reckless and put him self on his back by hanging on way to long. Made score 7-1 at end of 1st. But he took down got his escape and put Torgoley on his back. This all happened at the beggining of the second period too. So plenty of time left in the match and if anyone has seen Harris wrestle he his strong and one move away of putting someone on their back and pinning them. So when this happened this match was far from over.

135 All Boggs.

140 This wasnt even close, domination bye chida. i thnk chida broke martinez. he looked like he quit out there. Expected a much better match.

171 rattled...... lolzzz Now this defines dominating another very good wrestler. this all happened in the first period. 3 take downs by Moore and unbelievable double which the home crowd even wowed and then a deep half ran for about 20 seconds and then Eisenmayer was turned and his goose was cooked. Eisenmayer looked lost after the match.

finally 215. ya Bell looks strong that much u saw correctly. But Boxing... haha. he moves around well for a big guy.. wish i could say the same for the Marquette kid. he only moves in one direction.... backwards. Ive seen stalling and this kid just ran for 3 periods. Never even came close to scoring or looked like he even wanted to score. he only got dinged once and thats very surprising bye the looks of who was refen. But Margason coming close on a takedown at the end... that laughable. I think mustanglives is trying to make this match and dual closer than it realy was. Margason never came close and Bell did all he could do to try and make the Margason wrestle.

So the truth is this wasnt that close of a dual.... it should have been... but wasnt. Domination should have been used for the way the Lancers came out and wrestled. It just seems that Mustanglives wanted to paint a picture of Lancer wrestlers squeking thier matches out while Marquette's kids looked so good. And dont forget Lafayette was still missing their little lady at 103 who would have had a victory too.

Looks like a good old fashioned difference of opinion of the meet.

Looks like it was closer than Mrs. Crossface thinks and farther than mustanglives....The good news is that the boys can prove you both right or wrong at Districts.

44-26 is pretty close in wrestling (2 match swing)

Let me guess.....Lafayette and Marquette don't really like each other...

Wow a two match swing.... that would have be two matches where there was a pin and in turn Marquette would have to get the pin for two matches to make up the dfference. Thats actually a huge swing and very unlikely. There were only two matches that had close scores and Marquette won one of them. 112 and 215. Honestly 215 wasnt even close only the score was. Im sure most observed that. All im saying is that saying a two matches would make the difference is not so true. Two one point matches yes if the score of the dual was 35-30 but taking away two pins and getting two pins is a huge difference. Just look at the scores of the matches thats all u need. It was not a blow out but Lafayette definetly dominated in most of its wins. Escpecially in the good match ups... 130, 140, and 171 all matches people would have been 50/50 and Lafayette had two pins and a major. Thats getting after it.

I sat and talked with Chet after the match he seemed fine to me. Lafayette did well and Marquette needed some better strategy in a couple of matches.
Alex Hadaad looked great as did Travis Bakai.
