I see that Oak Park's schedule has this event listed. Is Oak Park's Varsity team going to this event? What teams will be there? Is this a Dual or individual tournament?

Smith, Fudge, Pollock, any one.....

We are going to the Baldwin Tournament.

BALDWIN, ROYAL VALLEY, MARYSVILLE, TONGANOXIE, ABILENE, Wellington, MILLVALLEY, DESOTO, LANSING, SFT, Oak Park

Lansing is the #1 ranked Kansas Team. Should bring some very good kids. Neil Erisman and Brent Haynes should be interesting.

There are plenty of other ranked KS kids in there as well.

Some "Shine...Daddy" on the KS Forum must think we are going to get smack around though, so I guess we will have to get ready.

Erisman I think is ranked 7th or 8th in the nation but I thought at 160. He has already committed to Okie State. (I know his uncle - he lives in Lee's Summit - and no, it's not Fudge!)

11 kids in the finals and 9 champions. I'm guessing they took home the team title with the second place team quite a bit behind.

Good job Northmen.

As for Haynes.......DAYAMN. Erisman is ranked in the top ten in the nation and has a full scholarship to Okie State! It must feel good to be a sophomore in high school and already winning D-1 college matches....well....almost. =D>

Looks like domination by OP once again. It doesn't look like things will change much next year. Who are they losing? J. Nay, O'Donnell, Koelling, Z. Bailey. Any others?

O'Donnell is a junior.

J Nay, Mat Koelling, Eric Bradshaw, and Zack Bailey are the seniors.

I think the top 2 could stay the same next year
FZW loses Warner and Wolfrum but get back Houdashelt(injury) lil Bolin will be a legit 103 and a force to be reckoned with...he is extremely light right now...or was last i heard, Bolin is this still true? What is his weight? Hopefully they will have Benenati back and Gagliano for a whole season
Norfwest will probably challenge for 2nd because according to darf Louden next year will be NW best state tournament year

You are correct, T. Bolin is around 108 each morning. He does try to eat a little healthier during season. Our strength for next yr. will depend on what the kids do in the off season!!!!!!!

I was told he was in the 90s still....
guess my info was a couple years old!

darf Louden next year will be NW best state tournament year

No one knows for sure, but next year does look very good for Northwest. This year would have been better too if we had not lost Joey Frank-who was about twice as good as he was last year. He would have been right with Nay and Bolin at 125 IMO. But things happen that you cannot predict nor control. Who knows about next year...but hopefully things will continue on towards bright things.

Returning:

Jake Waterkotte (So)
Vito Krischke (Sr)
Herb Krischke (Jr)
Matt Chandler (Jr)
Todd Porter (Jr)
West Nicholas (Sr)
Brian Morris (So)
Dale Stafford (Sr)
Ron Porter (Sr)
Brad Aten (Sr)

It looks pretty solid. Brian Morris is only a freshman this year but is looking pretty decent for being that young and undersized at 145. As a sophmore he should become more competetive.

On JV there is also a kid by the name of Josh Whitelaw who has been looking pretty strong on JV. I am not sure if he has lost yet but he did win the Jeff City Tourney for JV, beating a Park Hill kid in the finals. He could be one to shine.
Then there is also Matt Gore who is currently at 125. He could be varsity for most teams but he is stuck behing Ingargiola and Chandler this year. He will be a junior.

But that's all next year, I'm more excited about this year at this point/. :-D
