I have never understood the secret line up thing. Most of the kids know who is in their weight class and most of the kids have wrestled each other since youth days. Wrestle who is front of you and do your best, going up and down in weight to put a kid in against a lesser opponent doesn’t make him a better wrestler. Sure you may win that duel but when you get to district or state you need to be ready for that level of compotion.

Oak Park Total 99
:smt046

I assume that this is the number of points that Oak Park's J.V. would acquire at state.

Bob, can't believe you have Northwest at 6th in the state; top ten is a stretch.

Jake Waterkotte-SQ or Medalist (Haven't seen him wrestle but I heard he is good and he has a great group to practice with when he rolls with the Krishckes and Stahlman.)
Vito Krischke-state champ
Herb Kriscke-SQ or Medalist
Vito Ingarigiola-SQ or Medalist
Matt Chandler-SQ or Medalist
Maxx Waterkotte-SQ (I can't say Medalist because I don't know how well he's filled out this weight but Iheard he is tearing it up)
Todd Porter-Medalist (I've heard he is really gotton unbelievable)
Nick Uzzetta-SQ (He's going to surprise some people. 500 record last year but was really coming into his own, even pinned little Bader who as something like 33-3, plus over the summer I heard he beat a State Medalist)
Allan Corzine-SQ (wrestled varsity well 2 years ago but was injured last year. Does a ton of off season, wish I could comment more but I haven't seen him wrestle in awhile)
Ron Porter-Medalist
Brad Aten-SQ
Steve Himmelmann-Haven't seen how much he is improved so I can't make a guess.

Even without Frank, the line-up is can easily make top 6. In fact, even though Frank was getting the point where we we're expecting to get him to the finals, we lost him in the lower weights were Northwest is pretty stacked. It shows the quality of your team when you can replace a Joey Frank with a Matt Chandler or Herb Kriscke.

I have faith in the Coaches and the team. It's a pretty solid squad, they work hard, they have good coaching, and I think they can do it. Having a very tough schedule also works in Northwests favor. I haven't yet looked at the opposing teams but from what I know I suspect the team will get at least 8 through.

wrestlefan, it was Corey Finley.

I'm going to have to take back what I said about Nick Uzzetta. I remembered who it was that I heard he beat over the summer and it wasn't a medalist, it was a state qualifier who had a few victories over a state medalist.

Darph,

The Lion line-up you posted only shows 12 rasslers. You fellas missing a couple of kids?

Also, is Matt Chandler the youngest of the Chandlers? Isn't/wasn't there a third Chandler boy somewhere.

btw, the Lion program must be proud of Mike.

Frank is now a man of the cloth. Wrestling is violence and he is against violence.

I don't know anything about Jake's hand, but if it is injured that sucks... at least Northwest is deep in the lower weights and could replace him.

I am unaware of who the other wrestlers are going to be.

Matt is the youngest of the Chandlers and is like a little Michael Chandler. I heard he beats up on Vito Krischke in practice, at least that's what my brother and Jeremy Lay told me when they went to watch the practices recently. Even though Matt Chandler is a 125-130 pounder, that's still in impressive feat. Vito is a double AA in Fargo.

As far as the other Chandler, his name is Eric. I don't know what he has been up to. He isn't as into wrestling as his other brothers.

I am sure the Lion Program is very proud of Mike Chandler. He's a stud.
