119:

Duncan dec. Beffa 4-3

So he has head to head on him.

Good job---

I think Predmore HE may get 3 seed in 112. If Catanzaro gets 3 seed then Pedmore should get 4th. I will admit I don't know much about Catanzaro other than he has beat Huff and McClary.

112 lbs
1. Pierce, K
2. Alnutt, WB
3. Catanzaro, B
4. McClary, PH

Also--I think Revak from WB might sneak into the seedings @ 119---maybe not.

Has Predmore wrestled head-to-head with any of the 4 112's I've listed? After reviewing the results again, I think Huff will get the 4th seed over McClary. Huff WBF McClary twice (LSX and Tonka) and McClary Mdec Huff at dual.

119 is difficult - it could go several ways. Duncan dec. Beffa, Molina dec. Duncan, Beffa WBF over Molina. Of the 3, Beffa has the only win by fall so I gave him the #1 seed.

130, Carper has been moved above Tripaldi based on a common opponent. I was told Werdenhause will be at 135.

135 is tough with 6 very good wrestlers.

140 changed Heaton/Neumann around based on common opponent.

The thing that is going to throw a wrench in things at 119 is Molina beat Duncan in a Duel. Duncan beat people that Molina has lost to...so, things might be interesting at the seeding beeting at 119

Yes, I agree. That's why I have Duncan at 2 and Molina at 4.

Predmore, Helias, will have a head to head with Campbell this weekend at our duals since he's at 12 now.

Thanks coach. Does Campbell have any matches at 112 yet this year?

Even if these two meet, there still isn't a point of reference that I know of. Does any one know of any common opponents for Predmore and any of the other 4 112's listed?

No, I've haven't come acrossed any.

Campbell won't have enough weigh ins at 12's to stay there, will he?

CoachLinhart

Campbell has had seven matches at 112 with the majority of them coming from the Washburn Rural tournament last weekend. We'll see Predmore and Sanderson, Carthage, this weekend. Don't know if Predmore has any head to head's with with our district or not???

The number of matches doesn't matter, but the number of weigh-ins. At least half of a wrestlers weigh-ins have to be at or below the weight he will wrestle districts

The number of matches doesn't count. It's the number of weigh-ins. For instance you could have wrestled five times in one day, but it only counts as one weigh-in. Half of your weigh-ins have to be at the lower weight.

An example would be an athlete who wrestled 10 matches in one year. He had weighed in 6 different times. If five of those weigh-ins are duals where the athlete only gets one match (5 matches total) and one of those weigh-ins is a tournament where he gets five matches, (10 matches total) it doesn't work. Even though half of his matches are at the lighter weight class, half of his weigh-ins are not. Therefore the athlete would have to wrestle the heavier weight class at districts.

This could be way off, but that is my understanding of the rule.

I was just wondering who is with me that Park Hill will win state this year? Not only will they win class 3, but i think they will have more points than any other team in missouri, yes that means even Oak Park!!!

RP-in-Nebraska

More points in class three than OP will have in class 4? I am assuming that this is what you mean.

My response is that I certainly believe PH will win class 3. They do have the potential of scoring a lot of points but they have more weaknesses for class 3 than OP does for class 4. For instance, OP has the potential to have every wrestler medal - it may not happen but the potential is there realistically. PH, however, has weaknesses (relatively speaking) at 112, 119, 125, and 160 where a state medal is unlikely. However, if PH over-achieves and OP under-achieves then it could be close.

I have counted 6 wiegh-ins for campbell at 119-------i do not know about the 1/19 Rockhurst dual. I could be wrong but if I'm right he will have to stay at 119. I'm sure the coach knows what he is doing.

I heard Belton's 112 Catanzaro is finished for the season with a broken hand. Can JDonovan, or any other belton insider confirm this?

Rose (HE) might get a 4 seed at heavyweight. He went 5-0 at Grandview duals this weekend.

leader one a wrestler can weigh in at a lower weight and wrestle up a weight

underhook-----you are correct but if you look at what the coach said about when he started wrestling at 112 then you would understand my comments.

Leader i count 16 weight-ins each day at a tournament count as one weight-in so the Belton Tournamnet would be 2 weight-ins

112 & 119 are both loaded up with really tough wrestlers. Although 112 is probably a little tougher than 119. Either way he could be facing a pretty tough road.

also remember that just because you wrestle at 119 ... doesn't mean you didn't weigh in at 112. i spoke with the family earlier in the season ... they know right where they are at.

Has Rose or Carrel wrestled Bush from Kearney. Thompson majored Rose and only beat Bush by a decision.

Carrell might see Bush this weekend at the Raytown South Tournament. I am pretty sure they are in it.
