Last thing I heard was that he was suspended for a few events after an argument with his coach. I heard he was supposed to be back by districts though I am not for sure.

Andrew Whitsell looked tough today. I would think that he would place top 4 in the state at 160. From watching a lot of the MRVC schools and that tournament, I think that whitsell will make an impact at that weight

The bad thing for Whitsell is he's going to have either Long, Daleske, Monroe or Bright in his quarter of the draw at state.

Booney
01-28-2006, 06:18 PM
true, but if he is looking for a medal, I think winning 160 in his district and possibly drawing the 4 of a weaker and going from there will carry more than coming up in 2nd or 3rd at 152 in districts and then drawing a tougher wrestler. I just think that he will be tougher there when you look at the big picture

Booney
01-28-2006, 06:48 PM
I just think that beyond the top 4 in 160 it is open, at 152 the top 6 are all tough, I would think that whitsell would be able to wrestle with #3 and #4 there, at 152 the top six are tough, I saw the sherwood kid wrestle sheutz last weekend and that kid is tough. I think that he will suprise some people. I just think that in the bigger picture, he would have a better shot to medal

I don't know....Monroe is a returning state medalist and Bright is a muscle-bound freak of nature. They're no slouches.

Wondering what some of the scores were for:

189- Baker vs. Jennings

189- Bridgeman vs. Baker

thanks

Baker over Jennings 10-4, Baker had Jennings on his back, and it was never very close

Bridgeman was up 9-2? I think and he pinned Baker. Bridgeman still yet to give up a takedown this year.
61-0 over last two years and has allowed one takedown

Fun sidenote on the tournament: John Burdick of Hamilton was unable to get seeded in the 160 bracket behind Rosier, Whitsell, Anderson. So then he loses in the first round and gets matched up with Anderson in wrestlebacks. The match got very physical early with Burdick being assessed an unnecessary roughness on a head slap. Anderson ends up with Burdick in a figure 4, and Burdick starts trying to tap out like a WWE wrestler. He finally gets pinned and gets up yelling, "He's f*cking trying to kill me." Then launches his head gear. The coach tells him to go shake Anderson's hand, and he says, "That's f*cking bull sh*t." He got a flagrant misconduct.

Temper temper.

Was it that time of the month?

The best part was him trying to tap out. And he actually said that Anderson was trying to kill him twice. Anderson looked like he wanted to punch him.

With a mouth like that, I bet he took pleasure in shutting him up.

who has jennings from stanberry lost to this year?

Bulldog11
01-30-2006, 02:07 PM
He injury defaulted to C. Hernandez of St. Mary's in the first match of the year, due to an injury that occured while warming up. He lost a major decison to Bridgeman, and the decision to Baker. He is currently 15-3.

Is Mcintosh from tarkio wrestling 140 or 145 for districts? I would think that he would stand a better chance at 145

Right now he is wrestling 140, why do you think he stands a better chance at 145?

Booney
02-02-2006, 01:39 PM
I think because beyond mcclure and moore, he could sneak in with third, 140 would be tough to come out with smith, hill, morgan, selby

captainH44
02-02-2006, 01:59 PM
True but I bet Collingham will keep him at 140.
