Rashad Evans beats Forrest Griffin by third-round TKO
Frank Mir beats Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira by second-round TKO (strikes)
C.B. Dollaway beat Mike Massenzio by first-round TKO (strikes)
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson beats Wanderlei Silva by first-round KO
Cheick Kongo beat Mustafa Al Turk by first-round TKO (strikes)
Yushin Okami beat Dean Lister by unanimous decision
Antoni Hardonk beat Mike Wessel by second-round TKO (strikes)
Matt Hamill beat Reese Andy by second-round TKO (strikes)
Brad Blackburn beat Ryo Chonan by unanimous decision
Pat Barry beat Dan Evensen by first-round TKO (leg injury from kick)
Thoughts:
Never thought I'd ever see the Big Nog knocked out especially by a jiu-jitsu guy in Mir (althought his stand up looked 2x better than what it had been in the past)
Wanderlei should contemplate retirement because that KO versus Jackson was scary nasty.
Cheick Kongo has now become my least favorite fighter in all of MMA, taking over Babalu's spot. Dirty French Punk.

Kongo will get his. He is horrible on the ground. Lesnar will smash him or Mir will break his arm. Either way he gets smoked!

I would have to say Rashad is still my least liked. I can't stand that cocky dude. I think when he came out wearing a shirt with ben franklin on the hundred dollar bill made me not like him even more. I so wanted to see Forest smash his A@!. I wonder who it will be next in line for him. Rampage??? If so I see Rampage hurtn him BAD! Rampage looks like he's got his nitch back along with some added aggression with those two or three extra shots after fight ended. But there was alot of bad blood there. Anyways take care and if anyone is going to be in northwest missouri (Tarkio at HRC) Sat Feb 7 we have 30scheduled fights 10 current and former title holders comming to fight. You can check out more at http://www.northwestfightclub.com. Tables are already sold out for this event. Over 400 tickets sold hope to see you there. Thanks and God Bless.

I hope UFC throws Kongo to the wolves (Mir, Lesnar) so they can finally shut him up about a title shot. I can't think of a deserving Heavyweight to fight the Mir vs Lesnar winner. I'd imagine the UFC would like to build up Shane Carwin's resume (dude is jacked just like Lesnar also with a succesful wrestling background). Maybe a fight with him against Cain Velasquez and the winner gets a shot at the Champ. Looks awful bad for the UFC now for letting go of Arlovski. Oh and I don't like Evans either. But he'll get his if tries to stand up and go toe-to-toe with Rampage who looks like the next guy in line for a title shot, although I think Lyoto Machida would give Evans problems with the ways he fights.

I've heard some of those same rumors but I also heard the same people talk like Fedor would sign with the UFC before he signed with Affliction. I guess it's more wishful thinking than solid facts. I think that Affliction will fall through here in this next year so I hope by the end of next year Fedor will jump ship and sign with the UFC. (The whole issue between Fedor's camp and Dana White is signing an exclusive deal with the UFC.) I'd like to see Brock a little more polished before he fights Fedor, assumiong he beats Mir. Right now he is still too raw, but man wouldn't that be a Super-fight. It would be mucho $$$ for the UFC if it ever happened. I'm amped for Penn-GSP 2.

I agree, Fedor vs Lesnar would probably be the most popular fight in the last 5 yrs... I think it will happen soon enough.

That would be a big money draw, but there is no way it will be more popular than Lesnar / Couture and Tito / Chuck. The reason is because not many casual fans know who Fedor is. More people are attracted to a Couture / Lesnar fight because everyone knows both of them. Mir and Lesnar 2 will bring in a big draw because it is a rematch. Mir is also more popular to ufc casual fans than Fedor.
And Brock could polish up as much as he wants to fight Fedor and it would not make a difference, he would get completely smoked. Fedor is in a different league than Brock. Brock should have never even gotten a title shot.

I agree that Brock didn't deserve the title shot after just two fights in the UFC. But the whole business is to make money and Brock sells tickets and ppv's. Can't blame him. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson said after his last fight he'd rather fight Forrest again before he gets another title shot but Dana being the business man has already pretty much stated that his next fight will be against Rashad Evans for the title, cause that would be a big-seller. I also agree that Fedor is in a whole nother class. But (this may be wishful thinking) I thinkn Brock could if he ever developed a ground game besides riding out the opponent (herring) I think he could be dangerous. The guy is exactly what Bob Sapp wasn't which is a super-huge athlete that can actually fight. The guy is as fast as any Heavyweight around and definitely stronger and more explosive than anybody around. If the fight happened in this next year I'd go with Fedor no doubt but hey crazier stuff has happened. I mean Fedor finally got beat in Sambo this past year, for the first time in years.

I was shocked to see Nog fight like that. He looked like a shell of his former self, but I guess that is a crexdit to Mir who looked 5X the fighter he has ever been.
Everyone hates Rashad but me. I followed Rashad from TUF 2 and even back then I was the only one that liked him. He is by no means one of my favorites, but he is a great fighter and lately has been putting on a good show. i don't know what to think of him versus Page. I would think that Page would keep a small edge on the feet and actually get more takedowns than Rashad... but then again Rashad always seems to pull it out. Even against Tito in a fight that he pretty much lost he still managed a draw thanks to Tito's cheating. Rashad and Machida would be interesting. Two guys who always pull out wins.
Wanderlei doesn't need to retire, he needs to drop to 185 where his frame fits better.

I was shocked by Nog also, I thought he would win easily.
I think Fedor would destry Lesner. I am not a lesner fan, he seems like a big meathead.
I don't know who I hate worse. Rashad or Kongo.
Rampage is going to destroy Evans
If i had to list my favorites: (just favorites not ranking them)
Fedor
Coutre
Henderson
Jackson
What do you think about Henderson vs Frankilin, I would pick Hendo I think the Ace is done.

I disagree with you there. I think Rich puts Hendo away.
I do not think Hendo's ground game is a threat to Rich unless it is a lay and pray decision. I don't see Hendo doing that. Dan always has the ability to end the fight with one big punch, but I think Rich is going to be too skilled of a striker for Hendo. He will keep it close the first round and pick it up as he learns his range and figures out Hendo's style. I think Ace wins by decision or TKO.

it seems that nobody likes rashad evans and i am on the other side. i have met him down at greg jacksons camp and he was one of the nicest guys i've ever met. ive met a handful of people in the ufc and other organizations such as brad imes, din thomas, jeff monson, keith jardine, nate marquardt, leonard garcia, and donald cerrone. out of all of these guys rashad was not even close to an a$$hole that most people call him. the only one i had any problems with was brad imes because he walked around like he was a superstar and was too good to talk to the 17 year old kid in the gym with him. i was at jacksons camp from dec. 12 to dec. 23 and rashad would come upstairs and watch tv with us in between workouts and talk to anybody in there from beginner to another ufc star. he put it simply, " i've heard people call me an a$$hole and most of the times they've said that they dont realize all of the fighters are people too. we have bad days and problems of our own and we have to try and deal with with them in the public eye. he said he got yelled at by sum guy wanting an autograph because he didnt stay and talk after the pic and autograph but the fan didnt realize rashad was trying to catch up to his wife walking to the car. and about the t-shirt, i'll ask all of you guys if you got paid $20,000 to wear a t-shirt im pretty sure u would wear a shirt saying "i'm gay and my name is..." and that is a shirt a lot of kids will buy and he wants to make money just like everybody else and that is a shirt that sells. im sure these guys talking about how big of a$$holes any of these fighters are have probably never met them in person. you cant judge sumbody by what they do in the cage because you arent the same person in the cage then you are out of it. you talk about rashad but i saw sumbody talk about rampage punching wanderlei twice after the ref grabbed him that is a lot bigger deal then anything rashad has ever done. i am a huge rampage fan and im not bashing him at all im just asking if anybody can think of anything rashad has done to compare to that?

Rampage sure didnt destroy Forrest and Forrest SURE didnt destroy Rashad..
Evans is a helluva athlete as is Rampage but I think Rashad might be a bit quicker..I'll take him over Rampage in a toss up..
I still think you are all crazy NO ONE is going to destroy Lesnar he is too much of a freak..so huge so strong and yet so quick give him a little more training till mir and then even more until (potentially) Fedor and I will take him by KTFO..like Couture said those are some BIG fists coming at you..
