I hear a lot of talk about Joe at 171 and I see he has wrestled at 160 in the last couple of duals and tourneys. Where is he going? Not sure it matters as he is a great defending champion and should repeat at either weight.

Although I know who you are talking about, it would be helpful if you included his last name.

Joe Yust wrestled 171 at the Branson tourny and won first place. For reasons only know to Joe, his coach and parents he is now wrestling 160. At the Seneca wrestling tourny this weekend Joe took first place at 160. I believe that is the weight he will remain at through state.

My bad, Yes I am speaking of Joe Yust from Seneca. Thanks for the updates. I don't think anyone will touch him at 160 or 171.

I think Yust might have a tough match...or 2...this weekend @ Odessa.

Last time I checked, you have to touch someone in wrestling.

what????? McKinney beat Kelleher in overtime, McKinney should have stomped Kelleher in the ground, are we not looking at class 4 vs class 2??? McKinney must of had an off night. Kelleher is strong, but McKinney can out wrestle him any day of the week.

Ummm......well..........apparently he didn't Tuesday nite. Hats off to the freshman beating the #1 ranked senior, good for him.

socks93...........KELEHER BEAT MCKINNEY...
Keleher has now beaten woods and Mckinney and you are saying Mckinney had off night. You also said that Keleher pinning Wood was a fluke.
The only fluke is your lack of ability to give the freshman some credit for knocking off two #1 ranked SENIORS.
Give it a rest.

I have a comment about the match last night with Wood and Kelleher, Looked like to me that Wood was not on top of his game and made a mistake and kelleher just got lucky. I would really like to see kelleher wrestle the kid from Marshall my guess would be that Mckinney would tear him up. Wood and Mckinney were very much evenly matched. They wrestle a lot a like and are both excellent athletes. Always remember anyone can be beat on any given day and everyone has an off day. I can bet if Wood would wrestle Kelleher again things would be a lot different.

By making these comments you make Mckinney and Wood look like chumps. If keleher is so bad then how could he possible beat these two studs?
Moberly and Marshall are bot class 2 and are in the same district. Do you even follow Wrestling or do you just have it out for Keleher. Did he beat you at some point of his career? Did he embarrass you or your kid? Did he make your son or daughter cry? What is it that makes you want to give me the freshman so little credit?

It was a very good match between two very good wrestlers. Congrats to Keleher on beating my little brother. I think it's goin to be a different story at districts. Alex got alot of shots in on Keleher but didn't finish. He already knows thats. So can't wait to see them wrestle again.

I was just wondering what the rule was on weigh inns our how many you had to have if you went down a weight class. Does Joe Yust have enough weigh inns at 160?

I believe over half of your weigh-ins have to be at that weight.

Exactly half (or more) of your weigh-ins have to be at your lowest weight in order to qualify for that weight. I'm sure that Joe and his coaches know exactly how many he has at 160 and 171, and exactly how many he needs to qualify. They wouldn't let him drop to 160 if he couldn't qualify for that weight.
