What I witnessed Saturday after the matches would never happen in any other sport. Wrestlers from all schools gathering on the gym floor and taking turns entertaining the others. You couldn't script it any better. Maybe that's the key to all the fussing --- get the coaches out of the room and let the boys work it all out.
I'm proud to be the father of a good wrestler who won the 171 lb class, but more importantly, I'm proud to be the father of one who knows how to relax and have fun with other competitors. Life only lasts so long.
P.S. Does anybody know a college that offers a major in Rap? or Stand-Up Comedy?

Heard they took turns rapping and had a dance off must have been really fun to watch.

It appears that a few adults need to take some lessons from the wrestlers

Take lessons from the kids?!?!?! Who do you think taught C-Rowdy those fine dance moves?!?!? We set aside 10-15 minutes each day for dance and rhymes. Do not push to hard or i will be forced to bust out a rhyme right here on these boards!!! .... You are right, of course. The fellowship between the atheletes serves as a great example for many in the stands

I watched my freshman son get beat by Novak at Seneca this weekend (for the 3rd time this year) and they went and sat together and talked immediately after while cooling down. Novak seems like a really nice kid and mine didn't mind getting beat by a good sport when he had tried his hardest. Your right about not seeing that in all sports.

That lazy assistant of mine is responsible for my broken ankle. If he would actually help out a little I would not have to get my old bones out on the mat... must be poor genetics leading to his laziness. As far as my high blood pressure... that is the only side affect my wife was aware of.

That's the head coach's job to teach that lazy asst. coach what to do. Don't let him make excuses about being hurt or anything. Keep up the good work and we'll come watch Sat. in Liberty.

Hey!! Get off my back old-timers. I had asked for a short break, and what does Carter give me??? A break for sure, right in the ankle. That amounted to a 6 second break for me... Thanks Carter.
Old age has sure made you fragile.

I would like to apologize to Coach Gross. I should have never posted what I did on the boards. I sould have gone face to face. We have since talked and it is water under the bridge. If anyone else was offended I apologize.
