If my nephew is 4 almost five and weights about 42lbs can he wrestle this year.

I think he would be allowed to wrestle as long as he turns 5 during the season. My answer is absolutely not official - just an opinion based on what I remember seeing before. You'll want to talk to the head coach of the club for which he wants to wrestle. They can contact the appropriate people for an official response.

As far as the weight goes, for 6 and Under the weight classes start at 35 pounds and are separated by 5 pounds on up to 90 pounds or so. Your nephew would be in the 45 pound class.
