The Missouri Wrestling Foundation

Again, the Missouri Wrestling Foundation is proud to announce they will offer four scholarships to wrestlers that qualify to compete on Team Missouri at the Cadet/Junior National Championships July 2008 in Fargo, North Dakota. These scholarships will be awarded to two Cadet and two Junior wrestlers that not only demonstrate a high level of athletic and wrestling ability, but more importantly demonstrate great character and have established high academic standards. The Missouri Wrestling Foundation will contribute up to $350.00 per wrestler to Missouri USA Wrestling on behalf of the successful candidates.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better on a 4.0 scale
• Student must have meet all Missouri USA Wrestling State requirements and must
have qualified to be a member of the Missouri National Team
• Student must demonstrate good citizenship in the classroom and community
• Student must provide one letter of recommendation
• Student must provide a copy of your 2007-2008 school year transcript or a copy of
your final grade card for 2007-2008 with your cumulative GPA
• Applications due no later than June 25, 2008

The Missouri Wrestling Foundation is proud to announce the four scholarship recipients for 2008 are Junior wrestlers, Ryan Mango and Cody Compton, and Cadet wrestlers J.J. Dorrell and Joe Hunter. These wrestlers have qualified to compete on Team Missouri at the Cadet/Junior National Championships in Fargo, North Dakota. These scholarships were awarded to two Cadet and two Junior wrestlers that not only demonstrate a high level of athletic and wrestling ability, but more importantly demonstrate great character and have established high academic standards. The Missouri Wrestling Foundation will contribute $350.00 per wrestler to Missouri USA Wrestling on behalf of the successful candidates.

The Missouri Wrestling Foundation would like to thank all those that applied for this year’s scholarship. We have an impressive group of wrestlers across the State of Missouri! We had well over 20 applicants with an average grade point average of 3.71! Not only did this group excel in the classroom they also demonstrated great character in their schools and community. It was a very difficult decision. Keep up the excellent work and continue to “Dream Big”!

I have been trying to dream big but every time I close my eyes an image of Randy B pops into my head......then my dream becomes a nightmare!!! :lol:
