what schools are going to be at jeff city

Let's change one little space in that sentence to make it something else.

what schools are going to beat jeff city

Well, that is a good question and is much more interesting. No need to thank me.

I too would like to know who our competition will be out in Jeff City.
I checked the Jeff City paper @ http://www.newstribune.com
No info yet. They are usually pretty good about reporting on their school sports.
I also checked the school's web site, not much there.

Thanks for the info FoxJagWarrior.

Why are they still referred to as "House Springs" when the school is now located in Cedar Hill??????
I wonder about this myself. Northwest has been in Cedar Hill for eight years now.
I know it must be difficult for visiting teams to find Northwest in Cedar Hill when they assume it is in House Springs.
I have e-mailed stltoday.com/prepsports about this matter and they still call it Northwest House Springs on their "pick a school" drop down box. I guess it will take the Athletic Director's help to make this change. [/code]

I'm heading down to Jeff City in an hour. I'm not sure who is coming from this forum but I hope to see some of you there! I'll be the guy in the Northwest section with the blonde girl. I decided to bring my old lady along.

Fun tourney, and a good race between Northwest and Park Hill who kept trading the lead throughout the entire event. I think the one match that decided the victor was Waterkotte vs. Waters.

To me, Jake didn't look half as good at this event then he had all year long. I know that cutting is becoming a very big problem for both him and Vito Krischke, and I think they will be much happier with the 2 lbs allowance.

The reffing at this event was IMO HORRIBLE. Let me rephrase this, the STALLING CALLS from three particular refs was RIDICULOUS. I have been very please with stalling calls ever since that debacle with Pee Wee making 16 stall calls in one dual (which had 6 first period pins). Cape Classic, Granite City, and Hazelwood Central were very good with the stalling calls and it was VERY disappointing to see stalling being abused like it was at Jeff City. Here I was thinking that things were getting better but apparantly not.

The three refs in question were older guys, I would guess in their 50's to low 60's with gray/brown full head of hair, one of which was Larry Smith. Absolutely dispicable stalling abuse. I swear I saw the double stalling call 3 or 4 times at Jeff City, where I've seen only one in the past THREE events I went to... I saw at least 20 stalling calls throughout just Saturday, whereas I didn't see over 15 stalling calls with the entire last three tournaments combined... and all of this was primarily coming from those same three refs...

I don't get it, almost NO ONE ELSE likes stalling being called this much except a certain group of refs. Why is this still an issue? I can't stand watching a kid forced to cut another kid because he is too afraid to ride and get hit with referee interference. I watched people ride all day in Granite City and to me it didn't take away from the excitement at all. Now if a wrestler is sitting there in one spot on top and is just holding on, then hit him for stalling, but kids who are seriously working hard on top get hit with stalling all day long until they finally are told to cut the botton kid by their coach.

Why is this still going on like this? Why is there such inconsistancy among the refs in Missouri, not to mention other states? Why is this still going on when 99% of the wrestling world in Missouri doesn't like it? Why don't some of these refs in question ever decide to explain why they are so more likely to throw the fist in the air in comparison with other refs in Missouri, not to mention refs everywhere else? I'm not saying that these refs have to answer to us, but if they are so inconsistant with everyone else, why not explain why they feel the need to set themselves apart?

Hudson looked very tough this weekend. She dominated everyone until the semi-finals and then had a tough battle with Class 3 ranked wrestler Hughes, coming out on top 3-2. In the finals, she lost a hard fought close match with highly ranked Class 3 wrestler Waters of Park Hill. I think we will see Ashley gain some ground on the rankings soon.
