Went to the dual and tonite and....well.......yikes. Had to remind myself a couple of times I was at a college match. That hwt match was embarrasing to watch. I've only seen that happen a handful of time in high school.....never in college. Mo Valley was much more physical ....... CMSU needs to hit the weights, or something. They seemed to be out of position a lot, too.

Jonathan,
Were you at CMSU tonight? I looked for you!!!!
Thoughts?
My Thoughts: What are the effects of a "POWER WEIGHT LIFTING PROGRAM" for an entire college wrestling team? A TEAM OF SUPERMEN!!!!!!

Wrestling Doc: Yea, I got there towards the end of the 141 match, sat towards the back of the front row bleachers. Mo Valley looked very good. You can tell they have been hitting the weight room and were in pretty good shape all 3 periods or less(except for their 285 pounder).

...well, except for their HWT. Am I correct? Did see that he's ranked #1 in the country? Holy ****! I've never seen, or heard of a college wrestler being stalled out of a match. Unbelievable.
OUCH!! Mo Valley needs to be congratulated for a great win! Our job now is to fix problems and get better. The guys are working hard and you will see improvement as the season progresses. As far as the HWT match, I saw it happen to Tim Riley in an Iowa dual vs Willingham in the early 80's, he was stalled out infront of the home crowd in the old feildhouse. Probally happened to him and Johnson for the same reasons, pulling weight too close to competition. From what I understand Johnson is very talented, he just didn't give himself a chance to show it. That being said, Dan Moore pulled off a good win and took advantage of the situation.
Who was reffing the match?
