Beginning this Sunday, we will open our Marceline PWA sessions. These sessions will be ran by the MU wrestler, Andrew Wood, who just happens to be the very first PWA student and joined back in February of 1999. Andrew will run the PWA practice plan for that week so that all of our students will be on the same page.
Over the years, we've had far too many of our Marceline area students coming just 3-4 months a year due to the drive time, etc. Thanks to the help of the Marceline School district and wrestling program, Purler Wrestling will be able to bring training back to our students in that area.
Practices will run every Sunday from 5 pm - 7 / 7:15 (depending on time of year) and info can of course be obtained at http://www.purlerwrestling.com
ANYONE can join our sessions...regardless of skill level. PWA is OPEN ENROLLMENT and while anyone can get involved at any time, you can rest assured that should your son keep losing to a top wrestler, we will NOT (and never have) run over to his parents and hand them a business card and put on a recruiting pitch. Instead, we will study the film, watch the opponent, develop a gameplan for your son, and help him to win the next big match.

PWA offers year-round training for the serious, disciplined, and dedicated wrestler…those wishing to be Champions. In addition to learning advanced, high % scoring tactics, our athletes are taught ‘how to wrestle’. We feel that moves are a small part of wrestling and after several months in our room, I think you will agree.
NOTE: PWA is set up to provide supplemental training in addition to your existing team affiliations. PWA competes as a team ONLY at National-level competitions.
Who can join PWA? The answer is anyone at least 8 years of age with one year of wrestling experience and a desire to succeed. No need to be intimidated! We have kids of all abilities from non-state qualifiers to National Champions.
