A little more than 15 years ago but Scott Hamilton from Richmond was very smooth on his feet and he was at 185 lbs

Some of you 4A fans may remember Demetrius Jordan of McCluer North. Lightning in a bottle. Probably the fastest guy I have ever seen on his feet.

TJ Hill a close second.

You don't see many takedown kings at 189 D.Winn gets my vote.

I think Winn would get my vote

I would have to go with Cale Griffin from Cameron. He was so smooth and so fast off his feet.

Not a Missouri high school kid, but Shawn Bunch (Leavenworth) was the fastest wrestler on his feet that I have ever seen. I have never seen anyone smoother on their feet.

how has no one said sammie henson yet?
I do believe he had his own fan section who would count takedowns for every match
And I know he teched at least one person on takedowns alone.....thats 15 for those who cant do math(ME)

Actually i guess 14 cuz give them the one escape for the last takedown

I can think of a wrestler that could do that this season.....! :smt061

but that would be bad.

Not saying that this kid is the best on his feet but Craig Wilson is outstanding on his feet. Im pretty sure he has teched a few kids this year with takedowns and at half-way through the season he already had 100 plus takedowns.

RP,

It's,,,"best wrestler on their feet past 15 years.."

Zach qualifies for that catagory.... When he wrestled for Howell we always said,,,"here come da zach attack"....

remember?

The past should include guys like Henson, Purlers, Schatzman, Eric Todd, Sam Sheretz, just to name a few. Present day, Derron Winn, Zach Bailey,Shane Nay,Scott ODonnel,Brandon Wiest, Aaron Senzee,Kyle Bradly, and I'm sure a lot more that I can't think of right now.

Unfortunately, no. At that time I was in the land of corn silk, corn cobs, corn husks, and numerous corny jokes.

I can't believe that given the topic "best on their feet" somewhere in the top 10, has to be Tim :smt038 Davis. (McCluer North-93) A complete machine on his feet. Just ask Micah GArdner :smt022 It's no secret that I've always been a HUGE fan, but the facts speak for themselves. (prettiest duck under that I've EVER seen) Any thoughts?

My thoughts are that TJ Hill can't be beat... C'mon, the guy was hitting jap whizzers in the State Finals for god's sakes....

I believe that was Zack Stephens...which is another that could be considered great on his feet. Those single legs were fierce.

how about,
Scott Schatzman, tim Davis, Micah Gardner, Mike Kreh, Mike Mitra, Dave Maricatani (Spelling Help), Delano Sheldon, Demetrius Jordan, Cedric Brooks, Jake Lapinski, really anyone from the early 90's that won had great foot work.

The list goes on but many of these guys were state champs and many of them had hundreds of takedowns. I would bet that these guys averaged about 150-200 takedowns per year.
