Northwest by 50.....
8)
But their 145 Conely is a proven varsity guy, and how does our guy win by 50 points? Won' they stop it after a 15-19 point lead for a T-Fall?
Any other match by match predictions?

I think Joplin has a tougher Dual schedule.
Than Northwest? Maybe... It's not Northwests fault though, these are conference duals.
NW 57 -9, and that's being generous to PS. Chandler/Garcia should be a good match.

Good match? Chandler's brother, maybe. He's talented, but Garcia is a senior two time state placer with a wealth of competition experience.
Really, this whole thread is kind of a rediculous topic. :?

I mean ridiculous. My bad.

Then why waste your time posting comments to it? Let me rephrase, Chandler and Garcia should be more interesting than most of the other matches.

Garcia is definately heavily favored over Chandler at this point in his career. If Matt turns out anything like Mike did, then he is going to come back with a dominating junior and senior year.
Is this Matt Chandler the same as the Matt Chandler that finished 4th at Cadet Freestyle State last summer?

I don't know anything about his summer wrestling but I would assume that is a yes.
Anyone got the final score? It was 22-8 when I left.
HVY Himmelman WBF
Stallman was beat 6-4 with a last second rev
V Krischke WBF
H Krischke WBF
M. Moore won, don't remember the score
Garcia over Chandler MDEC

103, little Stahlman had his first match as Waterkotte was out. Stahlman gave it up at the end losing 6-4. he looked really gassed and there is no reason he should be gassed like that when training in the Northwest practice room. That tells me that maybe he isn't working as hard as he should.
112&119 were Krischke pins
125 Ingarigiola was out sick, so Matt Gore wrestled and won by a major
130 Garcia beat Chandler by 14, but as bad as that sounds, Chandler actually wrestled tough. You can tell that he is going to be something once he finally makes the transition to the next level. That boy is a incredible scrambler.
135 Waterkotte won
140 Porter won by TFall
145 freshman Morris for Northwest won by fall
152 JV Cookson was pinned by PS
160 Corzine got a forfeit
171 Uzzetta lost by dec.
189 Porter won by dec
215 Aten won by fall
275 Himmelmann won by fall
I think the score was something like 54-17 or something.
Northwest was missing 8 of its starters on freshman (for various reasons) and lost there. JV from Northwest won.
Darth, Chandler's match was much better than the score showed. He was very agressive and hung with Garcia for the first half of the match. At one point in the first period he nearly caught Garcia on his back while they were scrambling. Is Stahlman related to Todd Stahlman from 84 and 85? This was a guy who never wrestled until he was a junior and then was a SQ his senior year. Just curious.

Besides having the line-up better with Chandler up at 130, I think that is the idea. He's only learning from this challenge. You can really see the difference in size when he steps onto the mat, but it usually isn't much trouble for him unless he is going head to head with some top guys. If he cut like his brother did during his sophmore year, I think Matt could make 119 or at least 121. I don't think this year is Chandler's year to shine. He still could but I think his big years are going to be his junior and senior year, just like Michael.

TDC, Yes, Stallman is Todd's kid. I believe Todd is building houses for a living these days.

Both Tyler and his twin brother Trevor are freshman this year and Todd is their uncle.

Huh? I'm gonna ask Cooner tonight...
Yeah, I figured he was Troy's kid.

Cooner set me straight. Troy is the proud papa, Todd is the uncle.
