Bring Fedor over to UFC I wouldn't be surprised to see him get disposed of by Randy

Yeah it's hard to say now isn't it? Yeesh... all of these Pride phenoms coming over and suffering embarassing losses.

Shogun, ranked #1 in the world, gets beat by Forrest Griffin whom was ranked around #15.

Cro Cop, ranked #2 in the world comes over and gets KO'd by Gonzaga, whom himself was ranked between 11-15 in the world. Then, Cro Cop drops his ranking to around #4 with the loss, and then gets upset yet again by Cheick Kongo whom was barely Top 20.

Fabricio Werdum, ranked #8 loses to Arlovski ranked #7 (not really an upset)

Heath Herring, a Top 20 fighter loses to unknown Jake O'Brien a Top 30 fighter.

Kazuhiro Nakamura, ranked #10 in the world, comes to the UFC and loses to Lyoto Machida, ranked between 11-15.

Marcus Aurelio, ranked #11 and holding a win over #1 ranked Pride standout Takanori Gomi comes to the UFC and loses to Top 20 fighter Clay Guida.

The list goes on. The only seeming to do well is Quinton Jackson. I don't consider Anderson Silva a "Pride Fighter" as he was a Top 10 fighter before and after his 5 fights in Pride.

So yeah, I couldn't sit here with a straight face and predict Fedor would walk in and continue his domination. He's such a great competetor that you'd expect him to be the one guy whom won't falter in the Pride Exodus, but you never know with the way things are going.

Agree completely, Louden. My bet is that Couture, with the way he fought Gonzaga, could take Fedor. Each Pride alum has seemed to have problems with either the cage, elbows being allowed, drug policy, conditioning, etc. the list goes on. The Randy that just fought GG was the best Randy I have ever seen. I never was big on him but after that fight I'm a Couture fan. His aggressiveness, control, conditioning...everything was excellent. Fedor better stop getting ready for his Sambo crap and start preparing for the fight of his life.

Louden...all of your rankings made me think of something. I watched the UFC76 press conference the other night...it's split into 3 parts on youtube. I always like watching those but Dana White sure had some "nice" things to say about the internet rankers...lol. You oughta check it out...pretty interesting stuff.

I don't think the cage or the rules have too much to do with it. Maybe a little, but these are fighters. Simple changes in the rules shouldn't make and break these guys. Especially since the biggest change in these fighters seems to be coming from their conditioning. Shogun gassed, Cro Cop gassed, Nog gassed... Gomi gassed when he fought in Pride when it came to Las Vegas...

It's speculation but a lot of heads are starting to think that these fighters weaker performances are due to Athletic Commissions drug testing policy. Pride never tested for steroids and such, so a lot of people are starting to suspect that the lack of illegal substances in their systems are a cause for these fighters weaker performances. Who knows.

I saw the Dana White interview and I can't blame him for his thoughts. The rankings in MMA are extremely difficult to place. And he has a hate for MMA Online News Sites because of things that happened in the past and over how much flak he gets from them and the fans who post there.

Well, apparently Cro Cop thought the cage was a big enough change that he had one installed in his gym. He also said that during the GG fight, he was dazed when they were stood back up from all of the elbows...he said he wasn't used to them and didn't defend as such.

I agree though, that the biggest impact would have to be the drugs.

I just thought that Dana White statement at the post fight press conf was funny. Those are pretty interesting to watch...I hadn't seen them before and just stumbled onto them the other night.
