what holds the NCAA single season pin record?
who holds it and does Ben Askren have a shot at breaking it?

I think Gene Mills owns it and I don't think Askren has a chance because MIlls Had more pins than Askren will have matches.

The most pins in a season is 44 by an Iowa State Heavyweight, Chris Taylor in 1973. The career record is 110 pins by Al Sears from Southern Illinois-Edwardsville durning the 1982-1985 seasons. Askren has said he would like to top that mark which would be 54 more pins. He is 50 pins out of 2nd all time, 39 pins out of 3rd, and 31 pins out of 4th all time.

and I think with this yr and next yr 54 more is achievable anyone know how many more matches he has this yr and how many he has in a full yr(such as next yr)

I would think he has between 18-20 matches left this year
