I understand that a MMA fight is in the works between these two guys.
Now that will fill some bleachers!

It might be awhile if this happens at all. Hendricks manager wants him to train 5 months before his first fight.

I hope TWood is putting in some Jiu-Jitsu training for this one. Johnny is a better wrestler and I think that if TWood puts in some serious BJJ training he can become a better grappler-meaning his all around grappling skills. If his only grappling is wrestling then he will have a much harder time with Hendricks as Hendricks is more skilled in that area.
Guard work and sweeps from the guard as well as different submissions is where I'd focus on training if I were him... unless he's confident he can keep the match on his feet in which case he can try to outstrike Johnny.

I'm pretty sure Tyron trains at American Top Team for Jiu-Jitsu. Have you seen any of Tyron's fights?

If he's training at ATT he should be fine. I've only got to see one of his fights and his wrestling of course looked solid. I didn't see any BJJ because he was on top the whole time and his opponant Willy Dale or something didn't appear to have much at all.
Maybe I'm too used seeing pro fights but Willy looked terrible. He actually was shooting in on Tyron. WTF? Was he thinking of getting a takedown? Against Tyron? Or was he thinking to work his guard? I haven't been consistantly with Team Vaghi in 10 years and my BJJ is crap at this point but even I think that Willy's ground game sucks. It was a total mismatch. Of course Woodley looked dominant but I'd be disappointed in him if he didn't against Willy.

Oh, about Johnny... that would be a different fight for Tyron whereas normally he can just outwrestle his opponants but Johnny would push him in a way he'd have yet to be pushed in a fight. That's why I was talking about otehr aspects of the game. I didn't know if Tyron is working on BJJ or not, I was merely saying that would be wise in a match where he could very well be fighting off of his back.
