I know there is a thread for it already, but I was wondering who people thought looked tough at this weight, now with a few more matches and a better idea of who is wrestling at this weight. Also, do you know of anyone who is at 145 right now but plans on going down a weight.

Brandon is dropping to 40 to take on Bailey again, but i dont think anyone will beat Shane (in class 4), i believe Justin is staying at 52 as well, so i dont think anyone will give him a run for his third title

Where will Gagliano be.....135 or 145?
TZessFZW05

that is what i was coming back to edit...i think he will be going 45
and with scotty dropping to 25 that will leave this at state
19- erik and joe
25- miles and scotty
40- zack and brandon
45- shane and mike
most people dont know this but burns wrestled all summer with the cauleys, and from what they say, and from what i saw, dustin will be a contender for the 60 title, so we may see 4-6 title matches between zw and op

Does anyone know yet that Bailey will wrestle 140, also I think you are leaving some people out, I understand that FZW and OP have outstanding kids but are we getting a little ahead of ourselves naming kids for title matches, I will agree Shane Nay is a monster, and Gagliano is an outstanding wrestler, but there is still (Brian) Oeschner, Isringhausen, Tulley Brennan. I mean there are a lot of kids still out there.
Also, when will Gagliano be returning to the line up, in time for the dual with Troy, to see him wrestle Oeschner, I think that would be a hell of a match for both kids.
145 should be a pretty good weight class this year, I think Shane Nay will take it in the end though, the kids just to good.
Keep the input coming

talking with Mrs. Bolin this weekend she believes that scotty will be dropping and i guess that means Jacob will have to move up to 30

lol, i guess i spoke to soon, but from what i am hearing from everyone (in st. louis) is that scotty and miles want to go at it, they looked pretty even at free style state and i would love to see these two go at it again, i wont speak to soon next time, but i would love to see that happen, and i think jacob will be a tough 30 pounder, possible champion
my apologies go to anyone offended by my post

Quit talking bout stuff you don't have a clue about!!!
If you are the secret OP coach, leaking all of the Oakie insider info, Stop!!
If you are the secret FZW coach, keep leaking all of the State Final match info so nobody will have to wrestle in Feb.
thanks

I think I speak for all FZW fans when I say this: Let's keep all of the 'who's better' and 'state championship predictions' to ourselves and let things be hashed out in the next couple of months. I love to watch these young men compete with each other and this website is an excellent source to help me keep track of the other action across the state. Instead of trash talking Oak Park, I commend them for their talented squad and their ability to reload. Also, my appologies for members like TZessFZW05 and FZWGridiron who post foolish things to taint the class that the FZW program and parents have.
My Christmas WISH list:
1) Weist vs. Bailey III in the finals again
2) A healthy Erik Warner (and all wrestlers in the state for that matter)
3) A team race in 2006 that is as good as the one in 2005
4) Continued sportsmanship from the wrestlers/parents
5) Less trash talking and more discussion on here.

I was speaking of the big stage. I can't make it to Winnetonka. It's my Christmas list anyways. Don't tell me what I want.

TZessFZW05,
No harm done. A word of advice...you seem close to the program. The less specifics given on this site the better. "Pipe-lining" information can get people in trouble. Encouraging discussion is understood, but watch yourself with injury info, weight class info, etc.

I think Gagliano will probably end up going 145, that is where it would seem to make the most sense if Weist drops to 140, it would definately be better as far as the team goes to keep McCravy or Joe Wolfrum in the lineup oppossed to Alex Zeman. If he ends up going to 145 that would make for a very interesting chance for a Nay vs Gagliano title match, I think it would be a great match to see they are both great wrestlers. If FZW were to win the state title I think they would definately have to have this match go their way.

Gag's is a great wrestler but NO way he could even come close to Mr. Nay . Just wondering has B .Weist ever scored an offensive point on Zack ?

Gagliano is very tough! Nobody can overlook him as he has showed at Fargo and at State.Weist and Bailey has always been close and fun to watch as I am sure any match between Gagliano and Shane would be.These kids all respect each others abilities. The fans are the only ones who want to talk trash.

How could you say that there is no way he could come close to Nay, Mike showed how good he was last year and that was as a freshman I think it would be a toss up between him and Nay.

Why would weight class information need to be kept secret?

It sounded like the posts were coming from a student/athlete at FZW. My main point was that as a athlete, you have access to priviledged information like injuries, line-up shuffling, etc. If coaches or parents want to post that information, that is fine. There have been several instances on here of students saying stuff and then coaches/parents having to come on here a correcting them and the student appologizing. I also think that its students that do the "No one can beat FZW wrestler X" and then getting ripped by people on here and appologizing. I don't recall ever seeing those kinds of posts in recent memory from Oak Park fans.
Sometimes it is hard being the underdog because you don't feel like your program gets the respect you want, but I believe that a lot is reflected of a school by what happens off the mat as well as on it. Go Jags. :smt111

You're correct, when a forum poster trash talks they look stupid and deserved to be ripped. You are also correct when you say that OP fans rarely do that. I think that's why it is so easy to root for them if you live in the K.C. area and perhaps the rest of Missouri - because they are ranked 5th nationally and they do their talking on the mat.

You are right. The spirit of competition makes me want to cheer against Oak Park, but they get my respect as a program for the same reasons you listed.
