a few notes and questions:

-Hovis goes down to 119
-Sharf goes down to 125
-Ott going down to 140 (140 is flat-out stacked - Selby and Varns drop out of rankings)
-Is Carmical out for the season?
-Is Thompson (Cameron) out for the season?
-Is Wheeler going down?
-Anyone heard from Coty McDonald or Mitch Carroll?
-Is Utt still at 160? I've seen his name @ 171 in a few duals.

These ranking are retarted. Linsday would stick Stall, probably i nthe first period. The same with Evans at 140 he would pin, or techfall them all. And not haveing Lindsay in the top 3 at 171 is retared. Brookfield would destroy every team in class1, probably most teams in other classes to, they could definitly hang with Oak Park, MO.

Gotcha. I would think that Wheeler would be ranked over Walker as well, since he beat him for 3rd at state last year. I guess Walker deserves the #1 ranking, since he's been there all year, and (I think) is still undefeated.

TxMx
01-23-2007, 03:26 PM
Good arguement, but something has to said for establishing yourself in a weight before ranking consideration. It all comes down to the last six matches in a weight class come Feburary and who's competing anyway. Walker is looking much improved since last season and I had a chance to see Jones too...impressive. Haven't seen Wheeler yet this season, but from his previous ranking @ 160 I'm sure he's improving too. Just looking at the talent at all weights it should be a fun state tournament.

Not that four is really the much difference than three, but why should Jones be ranked higher that Clark at 152. Clark tech'd Jones at Knob Noster and handled him rather well on the mat. I know that it was the first tournament of the year, but head to head competition should count for something. Right?

Being from Brookfield, i agree they are a tough team and have a solid chance of winning state. I dont believe though in statements like we can beat Oak Park or any team in the Midwest, so my suggestion is to wait the season out and see what happens. These rankings are just fine and they arent made to predict the outcome of the State Tournament theyre just here to merely give an idea of where everyone stands at certain points in the season.

Mears would win over Tyler, Orr would pin who ever, Holloway would Green, Evans would win by decesion over there 140, Wine would be Armoto, Swift woudl more then likely pin Green, Wilkerson woud beat Kono and Glasgow would destroy the hwt. thats 8-9 wins. And I think Lindsay could keep it close enough to ODonel to win late. I dont think Oak Park can keep it close.

I'm not targeting Brookfield - just the moron who keeps posting ridiculous unattainable statements that Brookfield would beat Oak Park, any team in Missouri, and any team in the midwest. They have a good shot at winning Class 1 state but would lose handily if they were to wrestle the top 5 or 6 teams in class 4 this year.
