i have a $100 dollar bet with one of my old coaches that Askren will win a national title over the course of his in the next two years. And I am trying to make another $100 bet with him that he will also win the Hodge.

How safe is my money?

I should also say he is an Iowa fan.

tell hull if he makes both bets he'll finish even.

wanna make it interesting make the second bet something other then a hundy ... that way someone wins no matter what happens.

Have to say I'm pulling for Perry but even I wouldn't take the bet that Askren will not win a title in the next 2 yrs. The Hodge award is a different story, it will be tough for Ben to win that one unless he goes 2 for two and the Great Pumpkin (Mocco) has the inside track on it for this season.

I actually think Askren will win the next two as well but I have to pull for the Hawkeye. That being said, I won't say I'll be disappointed to see Askren (Mizzou) win one. As far as the Great Pumpkin is concerned, if there's any wrestling god at all, he'll allow Konrad to step up and pull off the upset at some point this season.

I would like to see Ben win a title, just not at the cost of team pts for the Hawks, we'll need all we can get.

When you speak of Gable, you speak of "majic"...it's a sort of higher level of magic.

And please don't worry that he may have lost some of his "majic", I'm sure you're aware that they just SPANKED the much favored clones!

Underpants, yes I do believe that Gable still has his majik and don't forget about Brands> Tom is one of the most intense focussed guys on the planet. Remember ,I want MU to do well but not at the expense of the HAWKS. I'd be happy if Iowa won it and MU took 2nd. As of right now I'd say MU has the better team. I hope that changes before march.
