No one will step up and say yes or no. I believe it was cancelled due to lack of interest. Wait, did I say that????? The MRVC Conference meet cancelled due to lack of interest????? The State's Powerhouse Conference??? Or was it due to the fact, that since some teams that are not as strong as they used to be. And they would rather not have any other team have a shot at it, since they can't???? I have heard that 1 team as soon as they heard it was weather delayed, got into another tournament, so even if it was going to happen they would not be able to participate do to them having too many tournaments??????? Did they not want the embarasment of placing 3rd, 4th, or heaven forbid 5th place????? Too bad......This once was a great conference, with great competition. There are still great coaches and great wrestling programs in this conference. Somehow or someway this tounament should have taken place!!!! Or if this is what has happened........ maybe it should split-up and ALL teams find a new conference. Just my opinion. :smt102

Get real! Other MRVC Sports Tournaments have been canceled due to weather and people live with it. Just when was it suppose to be rescheduled? Finding officials and and a site would be difficult let alone a weekend that all teams could there. Some teams host their own tournaments too. Odessa, Richmond and Oak Grove's tournaments are coming up in the coming weekends. It was tried twice and it couldn't happen. With all the schools still out how many would have made weight any way. That would have been an issue. Odessa has a policy no school no practice, I'm sure they aren't the only ones.. If someone had a chance to get into another tournament good for them. Lots of schools are scrambling now to find another tournament. Did any freshman win the MRVC last year? Those are the ones I would feel bad for. How many 4x champs has the MRVC had? Knob is still the favorite to win the MRVC. The regular season is what's recognized anyway.
