Wowww could this get any more stacked at 160. Im pulling for Burk. All though Kusgen is one of my all time favorites.

I think that Robbie might go to 52

well from what i have heard, Andrew Wood is a better wrestler than Derek White, i may be wrong, and the first place match with White and Burk was pretty close if i remember right, so i think that wood has it, but my memory isn't the best so i may be wrong

From what I remember of the White-Burke match last year was that Kendall won the match pretty handly. I thought he was in control the whole time and never lost it (control).

I wasn't there, but I heard roughly the same thing. The final score was 10-6 but Burke was in control the entire match - essentially schooling White in the fine art of take-downs.

With Wood at 160, Robbie Hicklin would rule the 152 weight class!!! I don't see anyone on the ranking list that can match his power. If he can make the weight again this year, I see him in the final match at Columbia, wearing the Park Hill white uniform, and finishing as STATE CHAMP!!!!

yea i thaught that it was closer between white and burke, i guess i was wrong, but i did know that white wasn't that good on his feet anyway, but i do think that wood will end up beating burke, as for the hicklin guy, i can't say anything, don't know much about him

R. Hicklin of the Park Hill class 3 State Champs was 152 district champ of last years super district who finished 2nd at state behind Wood by fall in double OT. Prior to that - the regulation time ended in a score of 1 to 1. The man is to be respected. He tracks down opponents like a big tiger with the power of a 171 pounder!!!

ok now i know who that guy is, that was a close match, but they way i saw it was that wood didn't really win that match, hicklin just lost the match, its like he almost gave up in Double OT

While I understand your perspective - isn't forcing your opponent to give up (I call it taking out his heart) part of wrestling? Wood actually won the match. He outworked Hicklin at the end. I have the match on tape and have watched it several times. Yes - it was a tough way to loose the championship match. I am sure Robbie learned from that experience and this year will be a better wrestler for it. I pick Hicklin to be the next champion at 152 - if he makes the weight. He's big, strong and has good wrestling skills. Also, he is more mature and understands the big dance better. HE COULD - GO - ALL - THE - WAY!!!!

Is PH still going to Oakville this year? If so we may be another preview of the Wood/Hicklin matchup.

It'd be great to see Wood and Hicklin wrestle again, but depending on the possibility of both changing weight class, it's hard to say if it will happen. Wood may be moving down to 152, but nothing is certain. Guess we'll wait and find out at Oakville...

He's the man at 152 then unless Wood drops as well. In that case, the picture changes and the win could go either direction.
