I'm surprised Boonville is staying in the MRVC - w/ Excelsior and Harrisonville coming in, that just makes Booney even further out. I imagine Lawson will be the next school in the "small" division, as they have outgrown their own conference....

I hear Lawson is in consideration for the MEC when Platte County leaves after next year.

I imagine Booneville will find a new conference in the next few years. The split is good for the smaller schools in football, basketball, etc. In wrestling, I don't think it matters. They can all compete even though Oak Grove is the dominant team.

Here are the conferences. They don't have to play each other, if they do, it doesn't count as a conference game/match.
MRVC East:
Lexington
Boonville
Carrollton
Higginsville
Knob Noster
Richmond
MRVC West:
Excelsior Springs
Grain Valley
Harrisonville
Oak Grove
Odessa
Pleasant Hill
Take effect in the 2008/09 season.
