How many weight classes can wrestlers wrestle up? Say a kid weighs 135 on the money. Can he still wrestle up to 145 as long as he is just two weight classes below?

No, If he weighs 135.0, he can only wrestle 135 or 140.

I thought he could go to 145, but then could wrestle no lower than 140.

Yes, he could always go up in weight, but I was just going off of the given scenario of weighing 135.0

if a kid weighs 135 he can wrestle two weight classes ahead (145), and he has to weigh more than 135 to wrestle 145.....if he wanted to wrestle 152 he would have to weigh more than 140...

If he weighs-in at 135 the weigh-in counts at 135 even if he Wrestles at 140 Correct? So if it is a dual it is the weigh-in that matters more than the weight class he actually wrestles? Or am I confused

Fischer, you are correct. It is the weigh-in that matters more than the weight class he actually wrestles in.
