From what I remember Knob Noster has quite a few returning wrestlers and will be tough through the whole line-up. I'll have a better knowledge of their team after their tournament in early December.
Probably a little premature to count anyone out at this point.

These are weights and places from last year, until people wrestle I have no idea where anyone will be. I just thought it would help discussion to see who has what returning. As for the Knob kid being hurt.....I haven't heard anything.

Cameron is definitely one of the top contenders. The may have lost a few good wrestlers but they gained Rosenbaum (1A-3rd) and Burton (3A-SQ). Plus Mallen will at least make it to the finals and both of the Kellerstrass boys will do well. Add the remaining returning state qualifiers and you have a pretty solid team...but thats just my opinion.

As I understand it, Carroll and Miller are recovering from football injuries and may miss a few matches. Isn't Knob's tourney this weekend or next? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I think it is a pretty unpredictable sport......and none of us can really say what is going to happen. Unless you are a wrestler this year and plan on doing something about it. All of the above teams will be factors in the State meet. It looks to me like it is going to be an exciting year!!!

Please don't disgrace the name of the Father of the US Constitution with your snide and asinine remarks. I am sure there are several DECENT teams at this tourney...it is the first of the year, so how can you have your finger on the pulse of wrestling to know for sure who will and will not be a factor at the end of the season?!? Not every tournament is the MRVC or NCMC...nor does it need to be. Perhaps it is not as tough as this year's Marceline Tournament, but who cares...there is no reason to put it down. Smith Cotton used to go there along with Lebanon, Marshall, Warrensburg and Higginsville...that was an asskicker!! There is nothing wrong with it becoming more of a class one tourney.

And I don't think anyone who considers themselves an expert on wrestling would call Clinton anything but a strong program.

weird that clinton shows up and sherwood/warsaw doesn't as they are all in the same area. sherwood/warsaw knows that clinton is "fowler trained" and that is most likely why they decided not to come.

there were some good matches here. the 160 tap out match should have been on video. good action. clinton vs Blair Oaks. clinton down by several points and on his back in headlock. keeps tapping out as not to get pinned and the ref finally stoped it and awarded 4 pt nearfall. Clinton puts BO on back twice in the last period to win it by a pt or two. both good wrestlers--great match to watch.

i was impressed by Blair Oaks counter wrestling. they seemed to never stop no matter how the match was going. their freshman 125lber surprised everyone with a nice counter and pinning a wrestler that placed 2nd at state last yr. BO's 145 got the match stolen from him by the ref. I don't know what match he was watching but it wasn't the one he was supposed to. at least three bad calls giving KN boy 3 pts he didn't deserve and it went in OT where he lost it. BO wrestled hard.

He got 2nd. Lost handily in the finals, but put his opponent to his back and had him stuck, but the ref, Skip Watkins, stopped it because of an "iffy" potentially dangerous call. I guess the Carrollton coaches wanted an explanation, but Watkins couldn't give them one.......

leader1, I know you were just joking, but Warsaw's not coming was a school administration decision, which I am fine with (we have kids who live out in the sticks down four country roads...not sure if they all could have gotten to the highway to be picked up). I would have much rather loaded them in my wife's minivan and gone today than to not start our season until the 7th, no matter how tough Clinton may be (and they are).

CoachBo same here at Sherwood the administration said we could not attend Coach Guerney badly wanted to go as did the team. All the teams that could not attend need to get together and have a dual tourney or something. As for Coach Fowler he is doing a good job at Clinton and I was anxious to see them wrestle as some of their boys were managers for me many moons ago when 6th graders.

Well the season has just started....only a week old and we already have people bashing wrestlers, coaches, referee's, teams and on and on. You know this is a great web site used by coaches and wrestlers year round. It would be nice if we could keep this web site pro wrestling and stop bashing kids, coaches and referees. If you want to do that go to some chat room with your friends and have a great time. We don't want it on here! With that said, Good luck to all teams and lets have a GREAT year of Wrestling. It's going to be a while. I only have a handfull of lineups, and not a whole lot of dual/tournament results to work with. The whole "please send me your teams lineups" thing didn't resonate, I guess. I only have about 20-25% of class one lineups.
