When do the rankings come out for this year?

what are the actual basis of these rankings other than opinion? What goes into the decision?

The ranking committees actually do a very good job. Obviously, early in the season a wrestlers rank is primarily based on how they performed last year and over the summer. There is actually very little opining taking place in the rankings. They look at head-to-head competition, common opponents, win-loss records, margin of victory, etc. If all is equal based on the objective analysis, then and only then will the rankers make a subjective judgment call based on opinions.

Actually, all we really do is draw names out of a hat. The first one we choose, gets ranked #1. Second one is ranked #2, and so on.

Based on some of the nOObs I spotted this year tooting their own horn, I could list those that will not be ranked.
