I got to laugh at Fox news trying to redeem themselves after Clinton kicked their Butts. Does any one actually believe that crap on Fox news.

2 reasons.......

1) lazy
2) arguing/disagreeing about the same topics over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over gets a little tedious/monotonous/tiresome/dull/boring/wearisome/dreary.......

Tom Araya

That's why I've resorted to satire. . .

A couple of things I took out of the interview.......

1. He's still very slick and intelligent
2. Brilliant politician
3. His little tirade was, IMO, intentional. He knew half of the ???'s were going to be about his Global Initiative, and half would be about whatever else. His "blow up" was about publicity, plain and simple.
4. He needs longer pants, or longer socks. Yikes, his legs are pastier than mine.
5. He's still the king of denial and has some serious skeletons in his closet.
6. He's more concerned w/ his legacy than anything else. Not saying this is a bad thing, but it's more evident w/ him than any other former Prez I've ever seen......

...and he said the Richard Clarke was demoted, then fired. According to Clarke's book, he was neither.

I didn't see the interview but I heard some clips on the radio. Considering this interview was done so close to the TV show "Path to 9-11", he should have known (as I believe he did) that he would be asked these questions.

I have a couple of questions for those who saw it: Were the questions asked fair or not? and did the wording of the questions require such a harsh response from Clinton?

Tom Araya

The question that got the tirade was fair. However, when you think of all of the commentary that emanated from Faux News in the past few weeks, Clinton's response is understandable. But it was the smirk that set Clinton off. I can't remember the exact wording, but something to the effect of, "You can sit there with that little smirk on your face and think you're really clever. . ."

I love it when Bush lays into reporters too. I think it's high comedy.

Any time Bush speaks, it is usally comic relief.

I believe about as much coming out of Fox news as I do CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc.......I actually think they are all pretty much the same.
I do feel that FoxNews is slightly RIGHT and most of the rest are slightly LEFT.
I think C-Span is the closest to the center....BUT.....Boring, most of the time.
If I were to place the TV networks on a continuum from 0%-100%[0=most liberal, 100=most conservative]......
I would have placed FoxNews at about a 70%(6-7 years ago), but I would NOW place it at about a 60%.
I would have placed CBS, ABC, CNN, etc. at about a 30% several years ago,
but I feel that they have moved closer to the center now. I would say about a 40%.
It is my opinion/observation/impression that all of the news networks have moved toward the center over the last 5 years.

I would highly recommend viewing both sources equally.
They all have a lot to offer in info, and in my opinion, they are all only slightly "right or left" of center.
To condemn one source without equally condemning the other seems to be a biased position.
Just my opinion.... :)

I agree. Hannity is an unabashed Conservative/kool-aid drinker. O'Reilly claims to be a "traditionalist".....whatever that means....though he has some liberal positions. Hume doesn't "claim" to be anything, though he obviously leans to the right (I kinda like his smug, sarcastic sense of humor). You could add in John Gibson as one of their conservatives, too.

However, they have Shepard Smith, Greta Van Susten and Alan Colmes on there too to offer an opinion from the other side.

I'd say FOX is nearly a predominately right-wing network. Shep is a lapdog, & Colmes offers nothing of substance. I challenge any of you to take four news stories a day and compare them to everyone else. Also, when they cite a government source, check the source for yourself. I've done it. You'll see the bias & slant they put on just about everything.

CNN and major news networks shoot just about down the middle. The major networks, however, are so watered down they might as well not exist. CNN & their subsidiaries are starting to creep to the right (Glenn Beck being a prime example). I'll grant that NPR and PBS lean to the left, say 6/10 on the Ox scale (maybe closer to 6.5 or 7 for NPR). I don't watch MSNBC or CNBC, so I can't really say what I think. I'll trust Ox's assessment.

C-SPAN is, by far, the best source. It's usually straight from the horse's mouth with no commentary. I'm a C-SPAN junky.

Air America is to the left what FOX is to the right. Neither really pretend to be anything but biased.

I agree w/Fudge's assessment of O'Reilly. He is a unique voice in that he pretty much makes up his own mind, though he's as likely to get something wrong as he is to get it right. In fact, I've caught him on more than one occasion telling outright lies, including embellishing his own resume (he once claimed, on the air, to have won a Peabody Award, which wasn't true). It's tough to trust him as a source if he can't even be honest about himself. He also claimed to have seen war action. . .but then had to clarify (when he was called on it) to say as a reporter, not as a soldier. The initial impression was that he had seen battle as a soldier.

The most refreshing voice, though I disagree with him often, is Michael Savage. I don't think he gives an eff who he offends. He attacks just about any idiot politicians & their apologists regardless of affiliation. I tend to do the same, though I usually stick to the party in power. Had I been posting here during the Clinton administration, you would have heard plenty for me. Dems aren't in power & thus are irrelevant. . .

As I said in another topic. Ex President Clinton was exposed for what he was and is. I remember the last time he got upset and shook his finger, do you?

He is a proven liar and a narcissist with no regard for anyone but himself. His administration was a debacle for this country and we are still paying the price for his totally inept foreign policy.

Did anyone else note how he was so concerned about himself and not the country he so badly let down?

I don't think it was FOX news that put out forged documents now was it. No Fox anchor has retired in disgrace have they. [/u][/i]

I'm pretty sure I saw that in the daily Republican talking points brief that gets faxed to my office every day. I guess it didn't take long for the "Clinton shaking his finger" line to make the rounds of whatever fascists you listen to on the radio.

I am pretty sure that was meant for your Tom

President Bush has not been impeached or disbarred. Something your hero can claim on both counts.

A facist is someone with a single minded narrow point of view. Someone who puts a lot of stock in simple solutions. Someone who is in all acutality a pseudo intellectual.

" Go to the mirror boy" Ironic, that line comes from "Tommy"

It is kind of funny but at the same time gets old hearing certain groups of people continue to retreat to crying about a president who has not been in office for quite some time. At the same time they support the policies of a current president fighting hard to be regarded as the worst president in history. I think I would be more concerned about the latter.

Later today, I'll post some of the General's speeches in the Senate yesterday, where some of them also labeled Bush "the worst POTUS in history." Congrats, Conn, you are a great defender of. . .ineptitude.

You must be proud.
