I applaud the Northwest guys for having the initiative to try to rekindle the program, but it doesn't make a real strong statement when only 4 guys are available to compete. Are there more in the club than that or is that the extent of it? Any football guys going to compete after this weekend?

Whatever happened to Dustin Brewer?? I thought this was his senior year and I have not seen any results on him all year. Is he still wrestling or is he finished? I thought he wrestled for Simpson, but maybe I am wrong.

DScott:
You are very right...our showing at the Truman State/Simpson Dual was less than expected. We had previously anticipated to fill more spots in our lineup. The positive side of the weekend includes the opportunity, for those that participated, to gain the experience of wrestling with Div. II/III level athletes. Despite only having four wrestlers and one win among them, I consider the weekend to be a success. The process of starting a program has had its ups and downs, but we're very excited about the potential that next semester brings here at Northwest.
We appreciate the support in ANY form, just as you display through this forum (not just monetary forms). All the buzz that has been generated by our wrestling community has proved to be positive in its results. We have had the opportunity to network with many coaches, officials, parents, etc. around the state, which has been very useful in our goal of becoming a successful club team, and eventually a successful NCAA team.
It has been an uphill battle (as it was wrecklessly mentioned by someone else above), but we are very positive and willing to do the necessary things to get this program to a successful, competitive level.
