Let's talk wrestling!!

The CMSU Wrestle-off Tournament is Nov 2 at 6:00 in the Garrison Gymnasium. I visit the pit from time to time and the wrestlers look great!! Robin has assembled a D-I coaching staff. Bobbe Lowe (Blue Shoes) is something else to watch. Wonderful wrestler and coach!!!! Of course, Al Hull is an excellent teacher. CMSU is poised to take it to the next level this year. Breaking into the varsity line-up will be a bear, but I believe each match will be exciting to watch. My prayer is for a healthy winning team that lives in the "Pit."

"....And At 149 ...." "Let's Go State!!" "That's my boy out there!!!!!" :smt038

We have had great practices for the last 3 weeks! Two weeks ago we kicked off the CMSU Wrestling Legends. It is a hall of fame of sorts and allows us to honor the past GREATS of Mules Wrestling. We also have started a drive to build our own wrestling building, the administration and alumni are fully behind this and we hope to have things going by next year. This year we will be sending out a news letter and an e-mail update, if you are intrested in recieving any info please send me your info. Wrestling Doc, thanks for the kind words. Working with these guys is great fun. And by the way we also have a little skinny guy that wrestled at OG and Indiana in the room with us. I've been picking both Kevin and Bobbe's brains as far as technique is concerned, they do a great job. Coach Ersland is a fine mentor and is teaching all of us the ins and outs of wrestling and coaching at this level. Once again if you want info on the team as the year progresses please send me your address. hullbuilders@yahoo.com.

MOBAP also has a new asst. coach. Shane Williams, he has been a coach at Raytown South, Grain Valley, Wentzville, Farmington and Some place in North Carolina. Great guy, good work ethic,, funny hair! He will be a huge help for Brian.

Coach Hull,

He came back from Indiana pumped and ready for the season. It was
a good trip for him. He hit the weight room, learned from Coach S - the
master coach at W'burg and it all came together for him
when he needed it in Columbia. Three of the greatest days of my life!!!
I am still excited!!!

But with two injuries so far in preseason, and not being able to
participate in the first wrestle off, the skinny kid in the room is
considering spending more time on other options ( and college girls are at the top of the list).
Let's encourge him -
he knows that he has a lot of fans in this area pulling for him.
He is looking forward to the opens and the December challenge
though. That's good!!!

By the way, the name I was trying to recall was Jacob Sanders from
Belton who finished 3rd (winning by 1) and the skinny kid 4th. His coach was the
the skinny kid's assistant coach in 03-04 . He had Sanders ready for
him and of course they had a great match.

Anyone out there know where Jacob Sanders is today? He told me he
desired to attend and wrestle for MU.

I believe Jacob is at MU but not wrestling.

Thanks 7Wells,

Jacob is a good wrestler who turned heads when he beat Kusgen (from Smith Cotton) at
Class 3 Super Districts in Ray-Pec this year. What a match!!!! It was Kusgen's first loss of the year. But I look forward to Kusgen coming out on top - this being his senior year. I hope he takes the goal this year!!!
