hello, im looking for some info I think you all might know

hi. I am from ohio. We recently had an athlete from missouri transfer to our high school here in ohio. He is a fine young man, and we have heard many great things about him and the things he accomplished while still in your great state.

So my father, a booster for the school, has asked me to see if I can locate any info on jorcell davis. He was a sophmore last year and we were told by those in the "know" that he won the missouri state title wrestling for a school called hazlewood. I beleive it was class 3.

the reason I ask is because we have seen what the young man can do on the football feild at practice, and my father is extremely excited to think about what he can do on the wrestling matt. We are very excited that he is apart of our community.

so, you guys know anything about jorcell davis from hazlewood missouri. Thanks

I think you have been misinformed about his wrestling accolades. I looked in class 3 and 4. Maybe I overlooked him but I'm certain he did not win the state title. To be honest I've never heard of him before. Not to say he isnt a fine young man. Go to www. mshsaa.org and look at last years state brackets. Maybe you can have some luck there.

I think he was the back up for Ronnell Simpson at hazlewood west.

He did wrestle for Hazelwood West. (not Central or East)
Wrestled at 215 & 275.
Results on this site show that he did win a few matches, but if he wrestled at Districts, he didn't place. Like Dwight said, Ronnell Simpson was the Hazelwood W. heavywt. that qualified for state in Dist.2 Class4.

but isnt it always the case that people in the know never really know anything. I dont know where the rumor came from.

I had looked at some of those sites before I found your message board. I just wanted some comfrimation from people who would really know, and not assume something that is false because I was looking in the wrong place..

thanks all, if anybody else has any info on him please share. Our intentions are only the best, we just want to make the young man's transfermation to our school as easy as possible. We just want to welcome the kid for who he is, not who everyone thinks he might be.

Jorcell was slated to be Ronnell Simpson's successor at Heavyweight this year for Hazelwood West. His sudden departure caught everyone by surprise, and we're sorry to see him go. While I would be the first to admit that he hasn't yet lit the world on fire, he has had his moments and I think he will perform well in his junior and senior years - he is very fast for a big man. He was a two way starter on the varsity football team last year for a pretty good Hazelwood West team.

he found his way to ohio because of his freind that he was staying with. His name is mark nichols. Aparently jorcell's parents jobs keep them out of town a lot. Mark Nichols parents moved to the area, I dont know why, they took their son a on a tour of private schools in central ohio. They choose ours. At some point mark nichols contacted jorcell and invited him to move to Ohio with him and his parents... yatta yatta yatta, im asking you about this kid that showed up out of no where.

they have tryed him at just about ever position during football practice. The speed you mentioned was a real surprise. Everyone has been impressed with him on and off the feild.

Needless to say the wrestling coach is drooling with anticipation. I cant think of a heavyweight that has ever wrestled for our school that was as athletic as jorcell.

we are a small division 6 school. so jorcell and mark nichols seem to be set up too, well, dominate. As a school we have a rich tradittion. Multiple state championship in football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, a couple individual state champ wrestlers, track, softball. You name it our kids compete hard to try to win it, in the classroom and on the feild So i think it goes without saying everyone is pretty excited to welcome these 2 kids to our communtiy. Like I said everyone that has spoke with them have been blown away but what kinda quality kids these are.
