Three Mules Grapplers Earn Academic Honors

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) - Three Central Missouri State University Mules were honored for their efforts in the classroom as well as on the wrestling mat, as they were named to the Division II All-Academic Wrestling Team.

Sophomore Travis Barbarick (Raymore, Mo.), senior Justin Cooper (Lake St. Louis, Mo.) and sophomore Chad Collins (Grandview, Mo.) were all named to the team. Barbarick was a second-team honoree, while Cooper and Collins were named honorable mention.

A special education major with a 3.65 grade-point average, Barbarick went 20-17 this past season at 165 pounds. Cooper is a social studies education major and boasts a 3.07 GPA. He was 35-56 overall, 2-1 in dual action at 165 for the Mules. Collins, also a history major sported a 3.10 GPA and was 3-9 this past season.

The Division II All-Academic Wrestling Team is selected by members of the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association.
