"Right now, I would love to kill George Bush." Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.
I guess she has her own ideas of what peace is!

Of course! Bashing Bush is okay because it is PC. It doesn't matter the forum, the audience, the means, etc. The ends of PC Bush-bashing justifies the means!
Why don't people start offering helpful ideas and solutions and stop the bashing? It's worked for people like Bill Gates and Bono.

Bill Gates and Bono.
Money and Music
The worst thing is that she bashed anyone in front of children. What a mixed message that was from the Nobel Peace Prize winner for those kids.
Like telling your kids not to smoke and your holding a cig at the same time.

What are Bush's ideas & solutions? I love how you always say, "Well, what are your solutions?" First, get rid of Bush & the religious nutjobs who pull his strings. Then, go from there. Hell, choosing your foreign & domestic policies by throwing darts blindfolded would be better than what you've given us. I only bash Bush because he's ruining my country (and it is my country) and I'm simply fed up with the lies, the thievery, the death, the murder, the ignorance, and appalling indifference for anyone who didn't contribute to his campaign.
Please, do answer, I'm interested. What are Bush's ideas? This is the man who has given up in Iraq by stating cleaning up that mess will be the next president's job. This is the man who doesn't think OBL is a priority----how anyone can continue to follow the guy who is gonna let OBL go free is beyond me (well, I'll leave room for the October surprise. . .).
BTW, it's deplorable for anyone to suggest killing another human, no matter how heinous their acts (I'd prefer he rot in a rat-infested prison cell myself), esp. coming from a supposed peace-nik.

Tom, I don't disagree with what you’re saying, but on this thread, I think you’re off the mark. This woman doesn't have the common sense to tone down her remarks when his is in front of Children. They cannot understand the issues and make an informed opinion. She used the opportunity to place an idea in this kids head that you can be a "peace maker" and want to kill the President.
My simple mind cannot get past the fact that she hates Bush so much that she would say and doing anything. Even use these kids.

Great solutions suggestions, Tom. Thanks for proving my point.

What point? ANYTHING would be better than what we have.
BTW, I didn't (nor have I EVER) seen you offer up a solution. All I ever see you write is long defenses of indefensible positions.
I, on the other hand, have proposed MANY solutions to problems. Feel free to review the history of my posts. Unfortunately for you, I don't have any snippy little one-liners like "cut & run;" oh wait, I do have one: "Stay & Die."

Actually, I'm pretty sure I condemned what she said, regardless of her audience.

My point was for people to simply not criticize but to offer REAL suggestions to solve problems. In regards to pull out would simply be a disaster and send another message that the U.S. won't finish what it started. We must stay until the country is stabilized.
I have read ALL of your posts (to re-read them would take me weeks!). I have seen some of your suggestions. Some of them are good in theory, some not so good (i.e. bad). The problem is applying the good theory to real-world application.
Example: Tom's suggestion of developing Ethanol into the primary fuel source (I don't remember if this was your suggestion or not but I'm using it as an example) is a good theoretical idea. It would eliminate our dependency on oil and put the financial hurt on the countries who we fundamentally differ with. However, it would take a decade to develop the fuel refinery methods, another decade to develop a fuel distribution system similar to our gasoline pipeline system, and another twenty years for the change-over to occur and people to stop driving their "classic" gasoline fired internal combustion engine vehicles. What happens in those thirty to forty years? Who pays for this development? Our capitalistic society runs on the supply and demand theories and without the demand for ethanol, there is no incentive to supply it.
The same can be said about fuel cells. The president has a fuel cell plan yet nothing he does is ever good enough for you liberals.
Another example, when the president budgets record amounts of federal money into school systems liberals cry "but it's still not enough".
Clinton was called the "First Black President" yet Bush appoints more blacks and minorities to cabinet positions than any other president in history and liberals call those blacks "House Nigga's".
I can't wait until 2008 and the democrats take over power. We won't be dependant on oil, hurricanes will cease to exist, and there will be peace in the middle east.

Brazil did all of this in 10 years flat. Sweden did it in 7. I gotta think the U.S. could do it if it REALLY wanted to do so. But when you have a have petroligarchy in control of your country, well, change from fossil fuels to alternatives is a REALLY LONG process. . .

I know I've called for the dismantling of the Dept. of Education on more than one occasion. . .I'm actually of a mind to go with the voucher system. Is that "liberal" enough for you, Mr. compassionate conservative?

We probably won't become less dependent on oil; both parties are beholden to the energy industry.
Hurricanes will continue to come, but I think a better-ran FEMA under a Democratric regime will provide better response.
As for the Middle East, I don't think anyone save Shrub would invade the wrong country in response to 9/11 or any future attack.

How about a clear and large majority of our congress?
How about the Democratic nominee for the 2004 Presidential race who repeatedly stated that Iraq was a threat and that he voted for the approval of force before he voted against it (or was it the other way around?).
