I noticed that the initial all class team rankings were posted. I've listed them below. Any thoughts or comments? I might be inclined to put Park Hill (if everyone is eligible) ahead of FZW due to better upper weights (on paper, anyway). I would guess that Farmington may crack the top 10 this year, also.

1------Oak Park--4
2------Fort Zumwalt West--4
3------Park Hill--3
4------Hannibal--3
5------Liberty--4
6------Blue Springs--4
7------Raymore-Peculiar--3
8------Northwest--4
9------Platte County--2
10----Jackson--4

I didn't do the rankings - I just copied and pasted them from the rankings page. Apparently, whomever (it was Ox last year) does these doesn't feel that a class 1 team is good enough to crack the top 10.

I don't either, I just wanted to put you on the spot. :-)

I would think Park Hill might be ahead of FZW once everyone is in the lineup. FZW's studs will match up against some pretty tough kids from Park Hill and not get the 6 points they normally get against most schools. And if Park Hill can stick around until the upper weights, I don't think FZW can hang from 189 on. It will be tough to ever figure this out though. The only place they meet is at Winnetonka. And OP was awesome last year and got 6th there, so who knows how much it means in terms of comparison. We should have another team dual state championship after individual state. We could really solve a lot of this.

I think you may be talking dual-wise, but at State or other big tourney's it could be much different.

TSU86,
I agree with you on Park Hill. I think they could beat FZW in a dual.

Darth,
You may be right about FZW winning in a tournament setting. It would all depend on who was in that tournament. It was pretty surprising last year when Oak Park only finished 6th at Tonka. My purely hypothetical guess for a PH vs FZW in the state tournament if Park Hill was in class 4 would be this: PH would have more medalists and qualifiers but FZW would have less medalists but they would place higher, hence, FZW would take 2nd in a squeaker, however, I'd still take PH in a dual.
