I'd have to go with the defending class 3 171 lb champ - Collins.

That's why I started this thread. Just wondering if anyone will give him any competition.

You guys might be suprised in the turn around of the Springfield Hillcrest team this year. For a very young varsity team (6 fressmen, 4 sophmores) they are showing a lot of promise. They did well in the Bolivar Invitational taking home nine medals. The gold medalist at 125 Kevin Phan (jr) is still undefeated this year and was won every match by pin. Coach Carlson from University of Nebraska/Kearney took over last year and has started a youth program. Look for them to develope into a great program.

Hopefully they'll fare better on Saturday than they did against Bolivar.

Ito - If you read my last post, AND was there against Bolivar, AND knew the history of the progam you would know what I was talking about. Our 103 was unable to wrestle so that was a forfeit, We had six freshman (several in their first year) and four sophmores, two juniors and a one senior on the team. Bolivar has several returning state qualifiers with much more experience so keep that in mind when judging this young Hillcrest team. Our upperclassmen did well in their matches scoring us a couple of wins. Our guys made some mistakes due to inexperience but that will come. But like I said in my last post the program is turning around we are filling our weight classes AND our bleachers for the first time in years. We have a youth program taking off as well. The future is bright for these hard working young guys.

can anyone tell me the results of the two matches below? I had to leave early and both matches were in the last round. I can see that at 103 that Kirk Luzano won but by how much and was it a good match. I'm guessing that Kris Luzano beat Twenter. That is because Twenter beat the Butler guy and it shows Butler as getting first. tia
1st Kirk Luzano - Knob Noster

2nd Shane Twenter - Boonville

Of course, I know everything.
Baker/Meyers score was 5-1
Not sure of the Collins and Baker/Meyers scores.......they were somewhat close early on, then Collins opened up the scoring late in both matches
