First I want to make known, and give recognition to a few of the guys at From Howell Central that worked very hard over the off season. Brad Diekhaus, Eddie Rogers Mike Tracy and Sean Kelly, and Brandon Beard. Evryone from this school has a great work ethic but I was able to see first hand some of the drive in these guys and wanted to make note of that. I would watch out for these guys, they are a tuff group and we have a pretty good line up this year. I'm ecited to see their work pay off. I have high expectations of Brad Diekhaus this season. This kid has a work ethic that is going to pay off this year. Good luck to all the guys from FHC. I will see you all when I can, I'll see you guys at state for sure. I also want to give thanks to Coach Cross for being such an awsome coach. He loves what he does, and really works hard to help everyone of his wrestler to become the best they can be.

think they can keep up with west?

i believe that in a dual howell central would beat west, but in a tournament west would place higher than central. west has the big guns and central has the more complete lineup. we will see this matchup many times they both wrestle at lees summit, gacs, st. charles west, and districts. i wish they could have dualled each other.

central wins an impressive dual tonight. not sure of the final score, but my brother told me that central only lost 3 matches. Pat Kennedy had an impressive win over Newland. freshman kyle bradley won a 4-3 match against one of the wisdom brothers at 103. the only wins for farmington were at 125(wilson), 140, and 215.

SpartanFan56, that is pretty impressive. If you get a chance, post all of the results on the results page or tell your brother to do so.

I agree, that is an impressive win for FHC. FHC kids have worked hard this past off season and are reaping the benifits from it now. They have a great staff and good kids to work with. HC and ZW don't get to see each other in a dual so that is why I posted to list both line-ups and let the fans see what they think would happen. Didn't mean to cut FHC's success, if it was taken that way.

Kennedy- Newland score officially was 6-1, Newland tried to throw late in the third and was taken down with just a few seconds left.

Hey Randy B...how are ya? Long time no talk. Hope you and the family are doing well.

Kyle's wrestling at 103 already? I was at the FH vs. FHC dual last week and wasn't happy that I didn't get to see him wrestle, but he weighed in at 12 I thought. Kind of crazy that he gets to wrestle his first high school match against a Wisdom. But he came through as always. I might be in KC for the LS tournament, so maybe I'll see ya then. Take care.

Dave

Spartanfan56....I appreciate your enthusiasm but be careful what you wish for...our wrestlers will see each other enough at tournaments. Having a dual would just limit the opportunity for each team to see other wrestlers.

Jeff...How will your line-up change when Gags comes back?

Dave,
Kyle was very disappointed that he didn't get a match against Howell. Our family still feels connected to Howell since Kyle started his youth wrestling there. Kyle contributes his passion for the sport to the Lococo's (Denny, Brandon, and Little Denny). He said they made it fun when he started wrestling. It would have been nice to get that first match in at home in front of a huge crowd (since we only have 3 home duals) especially since Howell had a 112 the night before to take the open against St. Charles West. I also noticed they were open again at 112 against Eureka, but that is High School wrestling.
Kyle will wrestle 103 and 112 depending where his coaches want him. He made the cut a little sooner than anticipated but he knew that there was a chance that Farmington might be open at 112 and he wanted to get a match in before we go to Lindbergh this Saturday.

Yeah, it would have been nice to open at home, but he got to open against a great kid and show that he's one of the top kids in the state. I noticed too that FH started someone at 12 against SCW the night before, but like you said, that's high school wrestling. I've been out of the game since I quit coaching with you guys so it was nice to just see a wrestling match again. I enjoyed working with you guys and being a part of Kyle's early wrestling days. He is a great kid and I wish him the best.

returner out of the line-up: Mike Gagliano 140-145 ?

What, exactly, does that mean? This has been discussed before but I don't remember if there was a real and true answer provided. Is he hurt, not wrestling this year, ineligible until the semester break, or what?

That Wisdom and Bradley match was a great match to watch. Bradley got the early take down and rode him for the period. Second period Wisdom cuts him and Bradley is up 3 to 0, Wisdom takes him down cuts the lead to 3 to 2 and then cuts him again Bradley is up 4 to 2. Third period Bradley cuts him and they go with out a take down the rest of the period. Great match to both of them, Good Luck to both of the wrestlers.

Wisdom and Bradley match was a great match. First period Bradley got the take down and rode him the 1st period. Second period Wisdom cuts him and Bradleys up 3 to 0. Wisdom gets a take down a cuts him again. The score is 4 to 2 going into the third. Braley cuts him in the third and they go the rest of the period without any points. Great Match and Good Luck to both wrestlers.

If everything goes as planned, Mike G. will be back at semester. Personal stuff needs to stay within their family and coach. Thanks for your concern, but more importantly, wish him the best of luck and look forward to seeing him in Jan.

Okay, that's a good answer. I didn't want to know their personal matters, just if he intended to wrestle this year and when.

Thanks.

I was looking over the Class 4 District wrestling assigments and could not find Howell Central listed. I would assume that they would be in District #3 but are not listed there as of today. What is the problem?

I would assume they forgot to put FHC on, but they should be in district 3.
