St Gen wrestler ...freshman ....vogt...i think john is first name....my prediction won't show up in rankings for awhile...but kid can wrestle.
No Wolfrum but very good...Given last name he's probably not a surprise to the enlightened

Johnny took first at the Westminster Tourney, and apparently looked very good doing it. He'll continue to get better every match as he's just a freshman. Did a lot in AAU and he's more than capable of being a state placer this season. Plus, being taught by Nick and Adam can help.

I was going to say that Bradshaw would most likely be a shoe-in for the state title at 152 this year.. Now seeing that Tucker is at 152 there might be an exciting finals match, I'd give the edge to Bradshaw

Bradshaw will probably be at 145 since he has been there the last week or so. Should be a lock for that final match of the year.

i wouldnt count montieth out of 145 he wrestles a tough schedule and can wrestle with anybody at 145
as for other 152s -
mcallister (st clair) is tough as well - in the dual results mcallister beat tucker (desoto) 6-5 on 1-7-06

If I'm Bradshaw I stay at 152 and win a state title.. why cut when you can stay heavier and still win.. In my opinion Monteith is tougher than anyone at 152 anyway

I would give Monteith the edge as well, I believe Bradshaw lost to Guernsey of Joplin 8-4 and Monteith beat Guernsey at the Fall Brawl twice, once 2-0ot then 4-2 for third place. Monteith also beat K. Stephens of Branson 11-4 and beat Spiller 14-2 then got the pin. Iwould put my money on Monteith.

bradshaw did lose to the joplin kid...yet he knew he could have done better, bradshaws only flaw is that he under estimates people to often....he has wrestled his whole year this year for KJ...and when he lost to the kid he threw his medal in the trash....but if a re-match were in order, bradshaw would overcome

Monteith did wrestle up to 152 this week. Weighed in at like 146 I think I heard. He will still be at 145 the rest of the year unless the Coach would need him to wrestle up for some reason. Derrick will do what the coach thinks is best for the team at each dual and/or tournament.

152 looks pretty open now that bradshaw dropped it'll be fun to watch these kids battle for the top spot at state this year.
Bond looks pretty tough, there are a couple of other kids that will be tough, Williams from Savannah, Perkins from Smithville, Plowman from PC

Yes, Bradshaw beat Guernsey of Joplin in the finals of the same tournament the year before.
I will note that Guersey is wrestling much better this year. He also beat Landes of Carl Junction 12-4 in a dual meet earlier this year.
Landes, Guernsey, Hatfield of Seneca, and Fowler of PC should all be at the Branson tournament this weekend at 145.

You also have Stephens (Branson),Dylan SHirey (Nixa),Joey Sheridan (Tulsa Union),Jacob Gurnsey (Joplin),Darren Heaton (Smith Cotton). All of which are ranked, should make 145 a very good bracket.

Bond won a hard fought match against Williams of Carthage R2nd in class 3. Too bad Carthage shuffled most of there line-up to avoid Spencer Daniels at 171. Would have been a much tighter dual.

Bond has looked very tough the last two times I have seen him. He has proven that he can win the big matches, against quality wrestlers.
