I have heard from some people that Aaron Bridgeman from Maysville is going to wrestle for MU next year. Can anybody confirm this? Also if he is coming, where do you guys think his future would be? He hasn't been challenged the last couple of years, so it will be kind of interesting to actually see how good he is.

That would be great for MU. We need definitely backups at 184/197

Aaron Bridgeman has received a partial scholarship to wrestle at the University of Missouri. He is planning on studying agriculture while wrestling. Brian Smith confirmed it on Tuesday while visiting St. Jospeh as a part of the MU Caravan (it brings coaches to different cities in Missouri)

At 184 he'll be sandwiched, wieghtwise, between Ben and Max. Can you imagine practicing with those guys? Mr. Bridgeman must be a glutton for punishment :D   Best of luck to him (I mean that in a good way).

No doubt. Jordan proved himself this year as a real talent. Bridgeman is good, but I wouldnt consider him a shoe in for a starting spot at this point.

Best case scenario for Bridgeman - Jordan moves down to 174 after Ben graduates next year, and Bridgeman takes the 184 slot his rs freshman year. He's a dam tough kid, but he ain't beating Jordan or M Askren anytime soon.

I definitely don't think he will be starting next year, but it will be very interesting to see how good he really is, especially with some real coaching and some teammates that actually make him work. The last couple of years nobody has really even tested him, and it is hard to get better when that happens. I think he could really take off with the right coaching and wrestling partners.

Max Askren will test him.

Max Askren will test him.
I think Test might be a little bit of an understatement...School him maybe?
No offense to Bridgeman but not sure he is in that class...yet?

I would like to congratulate Aaron on his accomplishments. He is a good example of what a great work ethic and class looks like. It is also nice to see some positive talk of a kid from the Grand River Conference on this site.
Good luck at ole Mizzou Aaron. Stanberry is pulling for you.

yea, Bridgeman will get thumped next year. I think it will take him a couple of years before he's seasoned enough to wrestle on the college level.

Cut him some slack. No one said he would be a D1 All-American next season. Be thankful MO didnt lose another good kid to UNI or somewhere in Oklahoma. Im glad hes going to give it a shot. If nothong else hes getting a great education partially paid for. Congrats Aaron.
