Congrats to the Wildcats and to Coach Phillips for his first tournament win as a varsity coach. The kids battled hard, hustled everywhere, and always behaved with impeccable class--Coach Elliott would be proud that those traditions remain intact. No doubt, standing on the other side of the mat proved difficult after so many great years and outstanding memories. Keep working hard, Wildcats; it's a long season, and all of you know a simple truth: this old man hates losing! Rest assured, I'll be be working extra hard to see that the Tiger banner flys at the top of the podium come the next encounter! Once again, congratulations to Wildcat nation. The tournament was weakened a bit without Seneca and Joplin's varsity (it was the JV in the tournament). I also think Nixa was there recently (or was Nixa there for a district tournament).

They need to get some other teams in there otherwise it's not going to be much of a tournament
