This was tough, but I went with Abbey Road. I was a freshman in high school when I really got into the Beatles. I was really freaked out when that rumor went around that Paul had died.

Funny this topic was brought up because I have really been Listening to Revolver and Rubber Soul A lot recently. I voted for Revolver But White Album, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road would all be close. But Revolver might be my favorite album (or at least top 10) albums of all time.

Interesting, most music afficionados generally regard "Sgt. Pepper's" as the greatest album of all time. Not just greatest Beatles album, but best album, bar none. Guess only a couple of folks in our microscopic sampling size agree. . .

I think that's funny, too. I actually heard this very contradiction being discussed on the radio a few months ago. When discussing best albums all-time of all artists, Sgt. Peppers is frequently near or at the top. When the subject turns to the best Beatles album, Sgt. Peppers is usually considered 3rd or 4th behind The White Album, Revolver, and Abbey Road. The reasoning given was because when people discuss all-time greats of all artists, they think in terms of popularity and impact to the musical community and when they think in terms of the best album of an individual band, the focus shifts to artistry, ingenuity, performance.......something along those lines, anyway.
