They should have waited to kick Helias out, at least they could have got some measure of revenge. But then only Han would beat them the other schools would still lose.

I remeber when Moberly, Mexico et all had good programs, but instead of wrestling up to the competition they kicked out the best programs in the conference.

Back in the 80's there wer several years when the NCMC as a whole had the most state placers of any 3A Conferences. Heck Fulton even had a state title

Back when the NCMC was tough Helias, Rockbridge and Han it was a conference. Now its just a collection of CL 2 schools and Han. I am surprised Han is still in the NCMC. Initally they were trying to get rid of Han too. Don't worry after Han wins it a few times. Moberly, Marshall. Fulton etc. etc will start getting a case of envy and kick out Han too.

Only Hannibal can beat Helias? Although very close - Kirksville did beat Helias last year. Kirksville also outscored Helias yesterday and won their pool at the Kickoff Classic.

Sader you should also get your facts straight before popping off at the mouth. Helias and Rock Bridge were voted out of the conference as a football issue. It had nothing to do with the NCMC wrestling teams. In fact the wrestling schools in the NCMC are dissapointed that Helias and Rock Bridge are no longer a part of the conference.

It was the conference as a whole not just football, get your facts straight. Helias offered to pull out of football and keep the rest of the sports in the NCMC but it was denied by the other schools. Don't get me wrong I blame the Helais AD also

I miss the days when the NCMC was strong. Helias-Moberly was always tough, good rivalry. HEL-HAN was alway really good also.

Helias was never voted out of the NCMC!!!!!

Rockbridge had given notice that they would not be in the NCMC any longer because they wanted to compete with schools their own size.

Moberly, Fulton & Mexico said they would leave the NCMC if Helias was not removed.

Marshall, Kirksville & Hannibal tried to convence the others that Helias should stay but the powers that be said no so Helias said they would leave so the NCMC would not be destroyed.

I know Hannibal & Marshall still compete with Helias in all sports I am not sure about any of the others.

Sader, I think you are very confused. Most of the NCMC still wrestle Helias why would they want them out when the tide seems to be turning. Basically the whole NCMC issue started with Football and blossomed from there. I know Moberly, Kirksville, Mexico, Hannibal and Marshall still wrestle then at some point in the season. As far as beating them last year Hannibal, Kirksville and Moberly beat Helias. Let me correct myself on the Moberly meet. Both schools actually tied and Moberly won on an unsportlike call on Helias coach if I am not mistaken. So I guess if you wanted, you can probably say Moberly didn't win but Helias gave it to them.
