How would the current Raymond Jordan do if he wrestled Matt Pell one year ago?

How would the current Matt Pell wrestle against Tyrone Woodley one year ago?

These matches would be interesting.

I agree with Frank.

A year ago Matt Pell was able to compete against top 10 wrestlers with more success than Raymond has this year. Matt was somewhat hot and cold, and had a great showing at the NCAAs. Raymond has a little better than an outside shot at AA. Now that I look back at last years brackets I see that Matt was not seeded. So maybe this years' Raymond would be a pretty even match with last year's Matt.

Both Tyron a year ago and Matt this year had excellent years. I don't think that Matt can still be considered hot and cold, as he really has been very consistent this year. I also think that he has matured in that, IMHO, in the past he seemed to depend more on a physical approach. This year I think that he has improved quite a bit technically. Last year, Tyron had really upped his game over his junior year, but just fell short in matches against Hendricks, Perry, Nagel, and Letters. Now that I think about it, I might actually give last year's Woodley a tiny edge over this year's Pell.

Ok, so maybe I don't agree with Frank.

But where we probably do agree is that we hope that both this-years Pell and Jordan do extremely well next week.
